Go to my website and click on the Saved games tab, then click on Pandora. Now click on game button 42 to download the saved game. This will put you back into Roswell Hallway 1. You can now Combine the Robco battery pack with the Abductor. This should solve your problem. But if for some reason you ar...

I will do whatever is necessary to get UAKM up-and-running for you. Send me an email and I will send everything you need to get UAKM up and running! Being...

Re: Help wanted. Inquire within.

Do you still have Grim Fandango installed, or have you uninstalled it? If it is still installed then download the following zip file: http://WWW.mydatabus.Com/public/texmurphy/LucasArts.zip unzip it and extract the LucasArts folder to your C:\Program Files, overwriting your existing LucasArts folder...

Re: Pandora with Dosbox

Is the saved game that you sent me a continuation of a saved game that you acquired from someone else? The reason I ask is because the “crumpled paper” and the “CD” are not there because they have already been taken! To prove this, travel to the cabin (from the same saved game that you sent to me) a...

Re: Pandora with Dosbox

Make sure you are looking in the right place for the "crumpled paper", and the "CD" (see screenshots below) If they are not there, then send me a saved game from cabin and I'll try to figure out what the problem may be. nilosplace@wideopenwest.com "Might this be the answer -...

Re: UAKM game

I used the saved game that you had sent to me (DONNA_00.020) and I had no problem opening the door to the Slice O' Heaven. And I was able to talk to Francesca. Are you sure you are trying to open the correct door? See screenshots below. http://www.mydatabus.com/public/texmurphy/sliceOheavenenterhere...

Re: UAKM game

Send me your last saved game - perhaps I can figure out from it, why the "Slice O Heaven" is not open.

A note from Nilo

I suffered a stroke on May 27, and was hospitalized for two weeks. I am now home and undergoing intensive speech, occupational and physical therapy, twice a week, at a local rehab center. The stroke affected my left arm, hand, leg and also some of the neck and throat muscles that control swallowing....

Re: I don't suppose anyone has Linux experience with Tex Murphy?

You could try changing the aspect, default is 'false'. Changing it to 'true' enables aspect correction. Also, you might want to experiment with changing the various output options- surface, overlay, opengl, openglnb, ddraw.

Re: I don't suppose anyone has Linux experience with Tex Murphy?

That’s great news! I haven’t used Linux for quite some time (currently running Vista Business) but I do have copies (on disk and print-outs) of the dosbox .conf file that I had edited to work with different games, including UAKM and Pandora – I just cannot remember where I put them. I’ll look around...

Re: I don't suppose anyone has Linux experience with Tex Murphy?

Sorry, my mistake - I was thinking windows when put in the tex197.exe file.

Try this:

mount c /home/trilaan/MOON
mount d /media/cdrom0/ -t cdrom -usecd 0 -ioctl
mount e /media/cdrom0/ -t cdrom -usecd 0 -ioctl

Re: I don't suppose anyone has Linux experience with Tex Murphy?

Be sure the folder "cdrom0" exists in the "/media" folder like so "/media/cdrom0"

Now mount the cdrom's as follows:

mount c c:/moon
mount D /media/cdrom0/ -t cdrom -usecd 0 -ioctl
mount E /media/cdrom0/ -t cdrom -usecd 0 -ioctl
c:/
