I envisioned Marshall Anderson paying off The Doc and Slim to have them whack the wife. I'm sorry, I know it's terribly wrong... but... still... :D

Also, I too, love that game. My favorite scene is when you've defeated Dr. Death, and he's hanging by his foot from a rope down a mineshaft, quoting Shakespeare. James Anderson is one cast-iron, stone-cold son-of-a-gun! I'll give'em that.

You didn't like Arena AV? I found it quite interesting.

Anyone heard of any of the following??? I have these games, but I haven't played any of them, wondering which I should put at the top of my list...

Obscure: The Aftermath

Indigo Prophecy

Dead To Rights

The Thing

Headhunter

Indigo Prophecy is very good. I haven't finished it yet, but I'm right at the end. I would really recommend it.

We were just talking about Indigo Prophecy like 2 pages back :P I think the general consensus is I have to play it, and now you should also.

I know many people complained about The Thing, especially the controls/gameplay, but I enjoyed it pretty much. They played rather well the fear element from the movie, and the uncertainty.

Anyone played 'Unchartered'? It's a great game... imagine Indiana Jones meets Tomb Raider with a twist of adventure and crime solving and you have Unchartered on the PS3. It's such a great game, I am totally hooked so far... closest I've come to adventure gaming in quite some time now.

Indigo Prophecy - Fun game, story gets a bit ridiculous by the end. Also, there's a scene where your pushing someone around in a wheelchair. I give the game a D- for wheelchair pushing physics.

Dead to Rights - When it comes to shooting guys in the face with your dog, it's not half bad. You know those action button parts in games where you have to push the button corresponding to the icon on screen? Dead to Rights has you playing as a stripper doing a dance pressing buttons to perform a better show. You also shoot guys in the face with bullets, and have your dog eat people.

The Thing - It's on my platter too. One day I'll play it.

And Uncharted, from the time I spent playing the demo, was pretty cool. Once I get a PS3 I'll have to try it.

Gears of War has become a pain in the ass, and I've already beaten it on a lower difficulty. So I've moved on to Bullet Witch. It's not that great of a game, but I started it so...

Currently playing: Bullet Witch, Final Fantasy 1

Any game called Bullet Witch has to suck completely. It's a law of physical reality. Or of nature. I'm not sure witch. Ahuh-huh.

I worked at EB Games for a few years, I know what's good and what's bad when I see it these days.

I have no faith in Too Human, gonna skip that. Looking forward to Force Unleashed and Mirror's Edge however. Fallout 3 I am very ambivalent about, but we'll see.

PS: Oblivion is the worst RPG ever, and these guys're making the sequel to the best RPG ever. Deploying scepticism now.

Yeah but isn't a certain Brent Erickson of Martian Memorandum and Mean Streets fame one of the head guys on FO3?

Oblivion isn't the worst RPG ever. It's not a good RPG, but it's not the worst ever. That would have been Daggerfall the 2nd Elder Scrolls game. Two Worlds or Oblivion Light was pretty bad and made Oblivion look like the greatest game ever made.

I played as Mulder in the X-Files game, how about you (or alternatively which are you going to choose)? I haven't got around to playing Scully, other than FF7 back in the day I don't replay games much. It is pretty OK, camera angles kinda annoyed me but other than that it was entertaining enough. At least unlike the FMV game they actually let you play as Mulder and Scully instead of some random agent who happens to come across them for a bit. I was a huge fan of X-Files back in the 90s, it helped that I thought Mulder was a cutie :) (By that I mean more the character, because I like that characters personality and so on, I haven't seen David Duchovny in much else). Went to the film at the cinemas recently too, thought it was OK too, interesting storyline, but not too sure about how the characters played out, hoping there will be another final film to wrap up the aliens arc. Even if the aliens arc was confusing to me and so I think I might of liked the standalone monsters more, I still want to see a resolution :)
Yea, they definately need a movie where the invasion happens.... I have been waiting for that for 6 years.

I actually played chapter by chapter as both. I would alternate. So I'd play chapter 1 as Mulder, and then as Scully. Did that cause I knew I wouldn't go back if i did. They are different enough to merit playing it again. The last boss is even different as Mulder and Scully are in different locations.

Funny thing... I heard last week David Duckovny was in rehab for s*x addiction.
