I finished Ghostbusters.
This was a great game!!!
Having to help a fallen comrade constantly can get tedious, but the script, humour and boss fights make up for it.
A must for any Ghostbusters fan.

The story was alright. More about style than substance, but at least it wasn't bad. Also there was a twist that was genuinely surprising.

Ghostbusters was the first game I bought for my PS3. I played it through at least five times. My favorite chapter is the one with the Spider Witch. Scary! The game is definitely a must for Ghostbuster fans. When you play it, you ARE a Ghostbuster. And it's so cool to hang out and bust ghosts with Bill Murry, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson at your side. They are very lifelike versions of the real guys in the game.
The other game I've been playing is Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. It's a PS3 exclusive game. Absolutely fantastic! The game world is really alive in this game and the characters are incredibly realistic. Very expressive and human. I've played it through a few times on easy and two times on normal. I've finally gotten the courage to try it on 'hard'. Just started.
Looking forward to Uncharted2: Among Thieves.

Hey, in Ghostbusters, the one place I really had a lot of frustrating trouble was at the cemetery gate when all those little stone angles are attacking. I managed to get past it with the slime tethering, but usually after dying several times first. Then I found an easier way to get past it: Run (must run, not walk) back and forth right in front of the gate. The cherubs will try to dive bomb you, but if you're running, they will miss and hit the gate. After a few of them crash and burn, the gate comes down. Best way to get past that scene.

Yea that part was hard.
I found the last boss pretty hard at first.
Once you figure it out, it's pretty easy.
The only thing that annoyed the crap out of me during team boss fights was that you spent most of your time reviving the Ghostbusters than actually fighting.
That is my only complaint.
The rest was great.
To me, it is the best game ever made on a movie license.

Just finished Shadow Complex. It's a X-Box live arcade 2d platformer meant to mimic the glory days of Super Metroid and Castlevania:Symphony of the Night. It's pretty awesome.
Also, it cost 1200 points (15 dollars) and it took me five hours to beat it, which is a pretty good amount of content for the price.
Also, it's the very first video game for the Ender's series from Orson Scott Card, it's story line running parallel to his book "Empire."

Playing through Brütal Legend this weekend. Just started and loving every rockin' minute of it. If you have a sense of humor and remotely like heavy guitarplay, give this one a whirl.
Tim Schafer doesn't disappoint.

Just finished Half Minute Hero on the psp. Here's the gist of it.
You are a hero. There is a dark Evil Lord who has just been educated in the ways of the destruction spell, and plans to use it. It takes the Evil Lord thirty seconds to cast the spell, and the world is doomed. It is up to you to:
Fight monsters to gain levels and gold
Buy things with your new found gold!
Fight the Evil Lord
And you have to do all of that in thirty seconds. But don't worry! The Time Goddess is on your side, and she needs money so that she could shop. Donate money at her statue and she'll reverse time back to the thirty second marker.
I like to describe this game as an rpg but without all the role playing. It's more of a puzzle game, really. A very quirky puzzle game, but it's Japanese, so that shouldn't be surprising.
As a budget title (it cost $30), it's pretty good. And it has other modes as well, including Evil Lord mode and Princess mode, along with other unlockables, that also require to be completed in thirty seconds.

Just finished Brutal Legend. It's pretty awesome even though the real time strategy aspects kinda suck.

Dangerous territory you're treading Alex, saying screw Fallout to a Fallout-fan. Don't you know, they're the most rabid fanbase on the entire internet?

Are you trying to scare me, Fred ? ME ? Russian ? Don't waste your time, Fred and dont make lough.
"Fallout 1&2" and "Fallout Tactics" are COMPLETE $#it. "Fallout 3" is stupid 3D shooter. Better try "S.T.A.L.K.E.R." series.
About "Oblivion"... Fred, you are too young for TES-series. Try again later.

Hey Alex, when the Stalker games came out my PC couldn't run them, and then I forgot about 'em, but don't worry! They're on my list of games to play, eventually.
There's actually another Russian game that's coming out that looks interesting. The English title is "The Void," but I prefer the Russian title, which I believe translates to, "Tension."

No, I'm not trying to scare you. I'm just saying that you should be careful, treading on what other people like. Not everybody likes hearing negative things about stuff they love.
I'm not a fan in any way of Bethesda. I haven't been since Daggerfall. Which I had more fun with than a dog chasing cars. But Fallout 1 & 2 were some of the best examples of transferring pen and paper roleplaying to the computer, which is what they were trying to do, and which is the main reason why I like them. I also like the stories, the way the different plot arc dialogue trees were built up, and the sense of humour the writers managed to put in.
I won't get into a shouting match about what games are best and which are not, I'm getting too old to argue on the internet. But I'll mention that I like Fallout 1 & 2, and that Bethesda has gone downhill with TES since Morrowind. As for S.T.A.L.K.E.R., I found the game boring and repetitive with severe lack of actually interesting gameplay mechanics. I felt the story was severly lacking, that there were no interesting characters, and the main story arc didn't hold my interest. Those are just my preferences, but I'll stick by them.
Oh, and I was 14 years old when Daggerfall was released
I know it's not the first in the series, but Arena wasn't exactly a big hit in Norway.
To somewhat re-rail this thread:
My current gaming experience is the new GTA IV expansion - The Ballad of Gay Tony. While the story seems... I dunno, weaker, or thinner, than previous iterations of the series, I do like the missions and the colourful characters. And the non-stop action. And the humour. And the parachute is back! It's like a cheeseburger - It's nothing special, it's kinda common, and too much of it's no good for you. But damn, does it taste good!

Hey there Vracar,
Here is a review of The Void.
Says it is a feature on the site....
but it is written exactly like a review, except there is no rating.
