I've made some modifications to the board, so that everybody can moderate their own exposure to the Google Ads however they see fit. If you click on the "Profile" icon at the top of the page, you will arrive at a screen that lets you modify your profile. This is nothing new.

What is new is a shiny, fresh new option for you under the "Preferences" section. Right at the top of the list, you will see the option to say Yes or No to "Show Google Ads." Choose your poison, and upon return to the Index page you will see the result.

I've also added a "Make a Donation" PayPal button to the top of the page.

Hopefully this will be the best of all possible worlds! :)

Good show James! I didn't know you were able to add an option to turn ads on and off... is there anything PHPBB can't do... anyway, the donation button is a nice touch to allow members to support the cause.

Well, there isn't really a built-in "turn on/off ads" option. That little option choice took me the better part of yesterday to figure out. There's not much PHPBB can't do, but it definitely takes some digging. :) I'm glad it's working well for everybody!
I still don't mind, but if what you did makes others happy, then goody-goody-gumdrops.
