My current gaming-experience
Wii Fit is okay, but it seems to be missing the ability to create a work out routine. I don't like the fact that it just goes out and says, here are some workouts, would you like to do them? In any order? I ended up just doing a couple exercises and then stopping, then eventually got rid of it.
Oh, one strange thing happened. In Wii Fit, you choose a work out instructor, male or female. That instructor would be alongside all of your workouts. One time my workout instructor was explained as "Not that for the day", and the other one substituted. Where did the first one go? Was it Nintendo's idea to make the real gym workout experience more realistic? It was strange.
Right now I'm playing Star Wars: Force Unleashed. It's basically a slash and stab dungeon crawler with the occasional force power tossed in. Still fun.

I finished Rogue Galaxy. It really was very good, but they had a lot of "artificial" length at the end, which was totally unnecessary as it was already a long game.
What I mean by artificial length is you make normal encounters significantly longer all of a sudden, as you come towards the end of the game, this game did that and then tacked on a few more "straight up dungeon crawls" with no real story progression at the end. It just felt like it should have ended sooner. BUT, it was really really well done, anyways. High polish, great battle-system, and high fun factor. I give the story a B+ only because there are some amazing stories in this genre of game, RPG, that just make this seem a little less than "the best."
I'm not playing Final Fantasy X-2 ( again ) on my ps3 for console gaming and the Witcher Extended ( I bought the game but never sat down to play it and now they released a massive patch for it ) on my PC as I wait for TCM.

Final Fantasy X-2 was the only game I made a point to NOT recommend to ANYONE when I was working at EB Games a few years back. In fact I took the game away from people wanting to buy it and gave them something better every time, saying "You don't want this piece of crap, you want something good. Here."
It is, co-incidentally, the only game I hate more than Oblivion.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
What certain demo, and is it necessary to have played Fable 1 to play Fable 2?
-Fred
PS: I mean, of course, play Fable 2 and still understand the story, enjoy the plot, etc. Not the technical sense in that, if you insert Fable 2 into your console it will activate death-inducing kneecap-buzz-saws and kill you horrifically. Or blow up. Or something.

I believe Fable 2 takes place a few hundred years after Fable 1. So...you can skip it.

Oh. That demo. I'm distancing myself from any exposure at the moment. I'm still spreading the word and such, but for my own part, I'd rather be blown away when the game comes out. No expectations are better than any expectations!
Also, I'm undecided if I'm gonna spend cash on Fallout 3. Can I pick your brains about that for a bit, JJ?
1) Does Fallout 3 have levelscaled enemies?
2) Can you play it as an actual roleplaying game or will the system always let your skill be more important than your character's skill?
3) Is the voiceacting crap? And by crap I mean more than just the quality of the voiceactors' work, I mean does the entire voice system work better than Oblivion, where one NPC could have one voice and dialect for one dialogue option, and for another, switch completely.
4) Soil erosion?
Okay, so I'm not too fussed about the last one. The others are make-or-dealbreak for me.
Also, I'm hearing good things about Dead Space. Turns out well-respected and much-loved internet jesus, love swami and published author Warren Ellis (of Transmetropolitan, Desolation Jones and Global Frequency fame) had a finger or two in the creation of the story.
Might have a gander at that.

It's an improvement on the Oblivion system (and vastly). My main problem with FO3 is that my version was buggy (although I got the "gold," version today). They were still tweaking things like difficulty.Fred Buer wrote: 1) Does Fallout 3 have levelscaled enemies?
Yes and No. Whenever a game totally eliminates turn based combat, some "skill," is required. There is definitely role playing needed. To have certain things happen you must have your skill at a certain percent. In this case they follow the FO guideline pretty well.2) Can you play it as an actual roleplaying game or will the system always let your skill be more important than your character's skill?
What language do you play the game in? The English voice acting seems better than Oblivion, but not as good as some games. I'd say it's on par with something like BioShock. It isn't great, but it doesn't suck.3) Is the voiceacting crap? HA!4) Soil erosion?
This game is growing on me. I'm still leaning towards Fable as being the better RPG. I'm not a huge fan of Bethesda, they don't understand "depth," very well. FO is definitely different but I play the game and just keep thinking "wouldn't it be so much cooler if...." and I don't get that feeling with Fable 2. Likely because FO was such an improvement on Wasteland... and Fable is its own thing.
Fable 2 is imho the better game if you liked Fable 1, it's pretty much an improved version of Fable 1 with a dog and slightly better graphics and much better level designs. Also no heal spell... which is weird.
I've got a game that has just been sitting for some time, I think I'm about to start playing it... Since I had my medical episode, I've unloaded a lot of my cases to other people and I have a lot more free time than I did before...
The game I'm thinking of starting is called Indigo Prophecy... Anyone know anything about it??? Is it worth the time???
