Re: I am interviewing some cast and crew of Tesla Effect!

To Richard Norton: Why did Slade get rid of his fabulous hair? I mean, for a middle-aged hitman, he was wearing it pretty well when he taunted Tex while Tex was kidnapped.

Re: Have you found your photo in Tesla yet?

Oh, yeah! Totally found me. And I couldn't be more pleased with the result (or more surprised at it, for that matter).

Re: Tesla Effect 90s Edition

Thanks for this. I was grinning ear-to-ear the whole time. :D It looks surprisingly good in 256 colors! The scanlines are a nice touch.

Re: Joining the fedora club!

Congratulations on your new fedora! Here’s some advice I got from my local hat shop many years ago when I bought my own fedora. To preserve the shape of your new hat’s brim, never place it on a table, counter, or any other flat surface with the brim facing down (i.e., not right-side-up). Allowing th...

Re: Emily Sue Patterson

Seeing all these past actors and characters has been a real treat! Emily Sue was always one of my favorite characters. She seemed like a real sweetheart.

Re: Attention! Attention!

Unfornately Kevin passed away a couple years ago. RIP Mac Malden. Noooooo, not Mac!!! And just when it seemed he and Tex were finally starting to get along and even develop respect for one another... I suppose he could be recast, but I'm sure going to miss the other Mr. Jones' fun portrayal of him....

Re: Passing Tex Murphy on to the next generation

Gunslinger, your heartwarming story made me squee and clap my hands! Your daughter is clearly a girl of distinction and excellent taste. Bravo! She deserves a P.I. makeover. Think she'd fancy a double-breasted full-length trench coat, a dress shirt, a necktie, a pair of slacks, and a pair of shiny w...

Re: The Return of Beavis and Butthead!

In a very strange way, I'm glad to see the series return. I hated Beavis and Butt-Head (the characters) for years because they were so crude. Then, years later, I realized I was supposed to laugh at them. If you like Beavis and Butt-Head as social commentary, I also recommend Mike Judge's movie Idio...

Re: "Plan Ten from Outer Space"—huh???

You're a pal, Demonlawyer! Thanks! :D I've got RealAlternative installed to process old RealMedia files. Together with Media Player Classic Home Cinema , I can read it just fine. Damn...I remember waiting hours to download this file back in the early 2000s over what passed for broadband back then. N...

Re: Nintendo DSi vs DSi XL, which should I get?

Bigger is better. Go for the DSi XL. The way I see it, the DS Lite and DSi are way too bulky for most pockets, anyway, so you might as well go BIG! :D Whichever you pick, I recommend buying the side-scroller Shantae: Risky's Revenge from the DSi Shop. :)

Re: "Plan Ten from Outer Space"—huh???

Weird. The link I had in my post,, used to lead to an old-looking page called "Tex Murphy Videos." Now, it redirects to a page on the current version of that website, with no sign of the Plan Ten videos, which had been converted into Xv...

"Plan Ten from Outer Space"—huh???

Back in the early 2000s, when I was just getting into Tex , I came across a strange little low-budget movie on the Net called Plan Ten from Outer Space . I had just written out my memories of discovering it below when I discovered, to my surprise, that Cubase fellow had archived the entire movie and...

Re: So, I've been listening to Tex Murphy Radio Theater....

I feel the acting hit its peak with Radio Theater. It's compelling stuff. Would've been nice if it had blossomed into a full-blown hour-long series. I could listen to Tex narrate all day.
