"Plan Ten from Outer Space"—huh???

Back in the early 2000s, when I was just getting into Tex, I came across a strange little low-budget movie on the Net called Plan Ten from Outer Space. I had just written out my memories of discovering it below when I discovered, to my surprise, that Cubase fellow had archived the entire movie and converted the original RealVideo files into Divx AVIs. (Thanks!) If you still want to see how utterly confused I was (for an entire decade!) as I thought back, feel free to read away.
Edit: Removed link, as the destination had changed and Plan Ten wasn't on the new page.My memories are really, really fuzzy, but I believe I found it through a link on a Tex-related website. I also recall the website that hosted the movie was called Carp-something...Carp International, maybe.
The movie began with narration from a guy who looked like Kevin Jones, the guy who played Mac Malden, and ended with—take this with a MASSIVE grain of salt—what appeared to be Chris Jones as Tex serenading the female protagonist with singing and a guitar. There were aliens and alien spaceships, and stuff, the kind of thing you'd see in low-budget mid-twentieth-century science-fiction movies.
Sounds terribly bizarre, right? It was. None of it made sense. I've spent years on and off trying to figure out what I had seen. It still doesn't make any sense.
Did anybody stumble upon this very odd slice of the Net back then? In the unlikely event you have, if it's actually Tex-related, can you tell me anything else you know about it, like its history?
about this plan ten movie, after readin somting about it here on this forum i tryed to find it on youtube.. and i did, but because of some copyright thingy i cant see the first (or was it the last) episode, does anybody have the whole film? and where can i download it? tryed looking at the link in this post too but cant say i found it :S *sobbing*

who are EMI and why are they banning these? is it because they own copyright to the name "Plan 10"..?
Part 2 can be found here.

however there are large chunks that have been banned by EMI.

Weird. The link I had in my post, http://www.provisionaustralia.com.au/Lo ... ads/video/, used to lead to an old-looking page called "Tex Murphy Videos." Now, it redirects to a page on the current version of that website, with no sign of the Plan Ten videos, which had been converted into Xvid video with MP3 audio, from before. I guess they weren't supposed to be there anymore. :/
I hate EMI for blocking the YouTube uploads from other countries, presumably anywhere that's not the U.S., for supposedly containing their content. Like a little homemade low-budget movie would do any harm to them, their bottom line, or their future business. Ludicrous!
Demonlawyer, would you mind uploading the original RealVideo files to a file-sharing service like Mediafire or Megaupload? Pretty please?

Okay, try http://www.mediafire.com/?7gyszsfo0e7o7. It's the original rm file though so may need processing.
Obviously if anyone thinks this should be removed (*ahem* Aaron or anyone else). Let me know.

You're a pal, Demonlawyer! Thanks!
I've got RealAlternative installed to process old RealMedia files. Together with Media Player Classic Home Cinema, I can read it just fine.
Damn...I remember waiting hours to download this file back in the early 2000s over what passed for broadband back then. Now, I can download the same file in less than thirty seconds!

This movie was made in the mid-to-late 80's as an entry to the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. It was made by Chris Jones (who starred) and others, the only other recognizable character to me was Kevin Jones who narrated this cheesey film. I dont know if its just the copy I saw or if it was the final copy but this film was HORRIBLY edited and was almost difficult to sit through, only tollerated because first of all its the beginning of the Tex Murphy storyline and secondly for its comedic value. It uses bits of storyline and characters used in the Overseer game as well as similarities if compared to The Pandora Directive game. I guess it could even be argued that there are even similarities to Under a Killing Moon depending on how you look at it. Either way, if you are a hard-core Tex fan like me then this is definately worth a watch at least once to have a good laugh and observe how the Tex Murphy stories have evolved since then.
