Did I miss anything?
I haven't read or seen anything of the sort since I started regularly posting.
Not that something hasn't happened, it's just *I* don't know about it. If there were an update available on that, I'd wanna know too.
I seem to remember something about that being talked about ...
You can still see the Tex Murphy games advertised on Microsofts website, so if something did occur, Microsoft is a bit slow on taking down the goods.

I'm not fat ... I'm festively plump.
Last I looked at CJ was looking into leasing the rights to TM from Microsoft. I'm guessing he pulled off more than that. They both split up and work for separate companies. AC works for Ubisoft right? Anyway once their projects are finished I'm betting they'll consider getting back into business again.
Though it'd be nice to hear from them now. Does James still have AC's contact info? It'd be nice to setup a chat again
The citation for the info on CJs efforts into Leasing TM is located in the chat Archives for 2003 I recall AC mentioning it.

Well last I remember Microsoft had relinquished rights to Tex Murphy but then Aaron said that Indiebuilt owned the rights, but Indiebuilt no longer exists, I heard some stuff about Take2 Interactive (maybe as alternative for taking on the rights and handling opublishing) but then James (admin here) said it doesnt seem that Take2 have the rights so I guess they never decided to fund another game. So I'm not sure who ahs the rights, since Aaron didn't get the rights when Microsoft gave in but handed it to Indiebuilt, maybe its with another company as I guess Aaron feels the best hope for another full-on game is if a company backs it. Aaron went to work at Indibuilt (or maybe he worked somewhere else inbetween not sure) anyway then Indiebuilt sadly sank but Aaron had already moved to Ubisoft, you can see his post here about it:

So perhaps Ubisoft has the rights or maybe Aaron is holding onto them.

That was August of last year, so I'm guessing it won't be till then by the time he pops back onto our scene. It'd be interesting to know whats holding them back from making the game a reality... probably its just the risk of doing so in a time where Adventure games are non-existent. So I hope they dare to do what they did with UAKM and revolutionize the genre.
Sorry just edited my post above as I found an old interview that has a small section on rights:

Again though its in August and in 2005. I guess we really do get updates on a yearly basis.
(Just kidding we have had more updates than that)
