I cant even install game, forget about playin it! Every time i try to install, it gives me a stupid message " This program requires Windows 95 or later " (like i am playin Windows 3.1...). I also copied all files from 4 cd's to single DVD disk, but it still dont work :(
All help information i ve seen only talks about things AFTER installation, but like i said - i cannt even install da damn thing. Didnt any of you get the same message i am gettin? I mean - i can clearly see, that its impossible to install the game under Windows XP Sp2 (which i have). So, what could i do? PLEEEEEEEEEEASE HELP!!!

What game are you trying to install? And what operating system are you using - Windows 3.1 or XP? The game will run in XP SP2. But I don't think it's possible to run it in 3.1! Send me an email: [email protected] I'm sure I can help you get it running in Xp SP2.

Thanks, Nilo, hehe:) Well, i m talkin about Overseer, and i am running Win Xp Sp2. Every time when i click on install, it gives me that message about windows 95... i m really frustrated now:(

what i dont really understand is - how others play with CD's (which i also have), when i cannt even play with DVD. This amazes me... I recorded all the files from these 4 CD's to the DVD myself, could that be a problem? Its a double layer DVD, usually works fine

Well, first of all you should have five CD's not four. And yes, that is a problem - it will not run that way! So go back to your original CD's to run the game.

To setup Overseer do the following:

You will need to run the setup program on CD 1 in Windows 95 Compatibility Mode. - Go to the drive where the Overseer CD 1 is located and do a right click on it, then do a left click on Explore. Now do a right click on Setup then a left click Properties and a left click on the Compatibility tab. Left click on the box (to put a check in it) next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" Make sure Windows 95 appears in the drop down box. Leave everything else blank; no need to check the other boxes. Click on Apply then OK. Now go back to the Setup icon and do a double left click to start the installation. When the install is complete exit the game and reboot your PC.

YESSSSSSS!!!!!! I got it installed - YAHOO!!!!!!!! Thanks, bro, u re real paul:) Ok, here is da story with da 4 CD's. I used to own da game back in 1998 and 1999, and then i gave it to someone. But recently i wanted to play it, but didnt have one, so i purchased it online again and this time, juss like 6-7 years ago it surely had 4 CD's in it, not 5. I have the oroginal box now, juss like da one i had b4. They re similar, and both had 4 discs in 'em. So, which is the fith disc u re talkin about??? Ive never seen one...

What i also did, i went into settins after the game completed da installation and changed 120 milliseconds to 40 milliseconds, like someone here suggested. Would that help at all or i should change it back to 120?

The 5th CD was in a separate jewel case along with the DVD version disc. And you will need it to finish the game!

Send me an email: [email protected]. Disc 5 is 648 MB, but that really isn't a problem - I may still be able to help!

Now i only have a question about movements - is there any way to assign movements (right and left) with da mouse? Or i only can move usuing keyboard? Its sooooooo difficult, leme tell ya - last time i played these games with Tex back in 1999, it wasnt of any issue, but now, after other games and joysticks....

This may sound stupid, but, if you put the cursor at the bottom of the page, a directional tool pops up. Then you can use da mouse.
