I guess someone will have to ask Aaron. Aside from Tex's future, I hope his future is fine too job-wise...

Damn, that sucks the big one. I wonder what prompted the closure? Lack of sales or something? They wern't there very long. It does say that some employees are being offered "...other opportunities within Take-Two as appropriate" - maybe this means at least some of the crew are going to Take Two.
We'd like some official word please.

Its sad, but I dont think it takes away from the chances of having another Tex game.

Yeah, but Take Two is headquartered in NYC. Who the heck wants to live there? Isn't that nice...pack up your crap and leave. No notice. That sucks so much.
I hope he got a fat severence package.
Sharp eyes. I can't believe you found that so quickly.
Sending good thoughts down south.

With Aaron's background, resume and all-around savoire fair, it's a forgone conclusion he will be working somewhere soon. Best to you, AC!

The old Access boys have not been having much luck haven't they? Oh well, I am sure they will find a way to keep on moving.
As Jim said, you can't expect two of the greatest game developers of all time (Chris and Aaron) to find it hard to get work in this industry.
Give it time and I am sure we will be hearing good news soon enough.

This may, in fact, be the best thing to happen to Tex. Perhaps where they've been working have kept them back, and their next employers will hire them at least partially for their experience with bringing games like TM to life and want them to work a little of their old magic. Perhaps they'll just start out on their own and recreate a truly innovative gaming company.

wasn't Chris working for another company? I believe he left Access when it was bought up by Microsoft...

Chris Jones started another company awhile back. As far as what the name of it was, I don't know if I ever learned that. I think it had something to do about golf.
Rockefeller....what exactly did you have in mind? I'm all out of torches and pitchforks!!!

I'm sure everyone in this forum could have something to contribute. If we could all get together an an organized fashion, maybe we could all convince the TM boys to make a new game, and perhaps even help out. We'd have to be completely serious and committed though. There are a bunch of game engines out there with cheap licences (torque). I have a background in animation/game design. I'm sure there are a lot of people willing to help... But it's just a thought...
