No, it isn't Tex related, but I wanted to show you what a little elbow grease can do to make your kid look Star Wars awesome. It's one of those Force Awakens statues sold at the big box stores. Tanner and I gutted it completely, used velcro, webbing, snaps and rivets to put it together. We did have to buy him a set of gloves and a halemt that would fit his noggin.
My son LOVES to wear this.

LOL.
I look forward to hearing about the therapy sessions your son goes through as he struggles to understand why the world isn't really like Star Wars
On another note, your son is 4 feet tall already?? Sheesh, seems like he was born only last year!

Oh, we finally had that talk when he was 5 years old. I knew I couldn't let him think that way, though I LOVED the enthusiasm for, "When can we go there, Mommy?!?" *sigh* He knows it's all for fun. He's like a walking encyclopedia now, and knows so much more about my own costume character. I didn't even know there was that much background information.
He and I donned our costumes and visited two second grade classrooms (his current one and Willow's 2nd grade teacher), and his old first grade and kindergarten classrooms. I read at least one book and did alot of Q&A about Star Wars and the costumersclub. I'm really glad Dorian wanted to do this with me as a stormtrooper too; He had alot of answers even I didn't know! For pictures, I got them to say, May the 4th be with You! and told them that Friday was Revenge of the 5th Day. *G!* Dorian wants to make up something for the 6th, but I told him the world can only take two days of this stuff.
Later after school, a local library asked us to come read a book and tell a bit about Star Wars & costuming clubs (geared towards kids). Willow threw on her Jedi for it too. Alot of fun, but boy were we tired that night!
