Aaron Conners, Roberta & Ken Williams, Jane Jensen, Sid Meier, Ron Gilbert, Tim Schafer, Brian Moriarty, Jim Walls, Daryl Gates...
Maybe I have missed somebody. You can add the other game-makers.

There have been great ones from Europe, as well: Ragnar Tørnquist, who made The Longest Journey and Dreamfall, and Benoît Sokal, who made the Syberia games. Anyone here know Jonathan Boakes, the UK designer? He made the Dark Fall series and The Lost Crown, which i enjoyed very much.

Yeah, cool games. Syberia 3 coming soon.

All of these games were enjoyable, but none of them seemed to have the polish and finish of the Tex games. I remember, particularly, that the Syberia games were good in some respects and disappointing in others. I think the best of the bunch was Gabriel Knight, although the The Longest Journey and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey were pretty good too.

I would also mention Robyn and Rand Miller who created the "Myst" series. There are detractors of those games, but the series pioneered the serene, peaceful, unthreatening style of adventure-gaming, which still influence over today's games.

Absolutely. Myst was epic. Most of the sequels were engrossing too. I'm a backer of the upcoming Obduction, so looking forward to that.

The game was released in it's current form I think in 2002? Lysander86 still insists the game will come out but he stopped saying that a few years ago. I think it's fair to say it won't ever come out but I'd love to be wrong. Dot net Training in Chennai | Cloud Computing Training in Chennai
