Pandora Directive in game help...

I am not sure if this is the right section, but I am stuck in the game.

I basically saved myself into a corner where I am in the AutoTec evidence room with the box, cash, key card. I cannot open that machine to place the items inside them and when I check walkthroughs to see what is going on, they tell me I need Parnell's key, which I don't have.

My last save before that was in day 3 and I don't want to go back that far. Is there a way I can get around this or does someone have a game save that I could download so that I can continue?

You don't need Pernell's key to get out of the evidence room.

Basically, all items you take out of the lockers need to be scanned in the degaussing machine. Press the 'Open' button on the panel on the right of the machine's front to open it, then (for each item you get) place it into the machine. Close the machine, and press the numbers on the keypad (1091, I think). Press 'Enter' and the machine should open, allowing you to take out the demagnetized cash/disc/whatever. The demagnetized items appear with the 'Demagnetized' prefix in your inventory when you take them out of the degaussing machine.

Once all items are scanned, you can leave the evidence room. As far as Pernell's key is concerned, you get a call from her saying she needs a favour, and when you return it she asks you to get a disc with a file about Operation Euphoria on it for her. She gives you a key to get in the the locker it's in - inside the evidence room. If I remember right, you can ask her to work on the anagrams as she knows someone at the Mirror who can decode them.

...of course this is if I understood you correctly and the problem is you can't leave the evidence room... :?

OMG, I am a moron. I did not look closely at the panel with the "open" button. Sorry for wasting everyone's time

At least I don't have to go backwards. Thanks for the help.
