I set up a music company afew weeks ago. We could do it for you as we're just doing stuff for credit at the moment. I have had extensive experience with that sort of thing and am well versed at using CUBASE/REASON/ProTools. Check out the site at
http://www.myspace.com/tinnitusmusic and get back to me asap!
Cheers,
Dave

I'd love to. If you want, contact me and I'll show you some of my pieces, they are all classical.
I just lack the software to produce life-like music. The closest I get is with Kontakt-plugin for the Sibelius Software.
Wow

It's cool to see Tex fans helping each other out. Those pics look good too. The one with the scalpel looks it is probably a menacing scene. Will we be able to watch a final cut?

Hey alright! I didn't really expect anyone to respond to this but two people interested in it that's great! Honestly I would love to hear some samples of both your work. I am looking for anything as close as possible to what Tex sounds like. (As close to orchestral as possible less synth sounding) I am about to go on my placement in the greater Toronto area for the next month so I can't really do anything until then, but if I could get the both of you to show something you already have or even whip something up that sounds like Tex in that time that would be great. Maybe you could even colabourate? I will be checking the board from time to time throughout that time but am unsure of if/when I will have daily access to the internet. Anyway this is great news guys. When I get back I can send you some samples of the scenes that need tunes to help give you an idea of what is going on if that helps. In the meantime if you need to get ahold of me feel free to post on the board as I can access it from anywhere. I'll be here until Saturday if you need some immediate feedback. I think that's it for my ramblings. Keep in touch!
Now as for the little movie itself it's not as intense as it may seem, it's rather lighthearted (It's heavily Tex inspired). I promise to offer up the final product as soon as it is done as I have no idea how long it'll take to complete when I get back. I am trying to get it as professional looking as possible so I can use it to help pitch a show to the networks when I am done college. This is NOT the show but quite similar to the way I would shoot it. That is the sole purpose of this assignment. Get my other show on TV, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can do this right. Hopefully if it gets on the air that it will get syndicated and everyone on the board can see it.
Okay, I'll bite...

I'm definitely intrigued; sounds like it could be interesting.
Myself, I've written an occasional tune here and there. My main software these days is Gigastudio 3 and Reason 3. There are a few samples of my more recent work at

Let me know if anything strikes your fancy there.

Id be up for it, you can hear some of my industrial stuff @
http://www.myspace.com/cyanidedependency I can get you some other things as well, I could also mail you a CD of a mix of classic orchestral, industrial, dance and electro-scores/ambient if you want
The movie looks like it could be good, I like some of the camera work in the stills. Would I be able to get a copy on DVD/VHS to score along with should you choose me as your scoring guy/musical person type thingy

*edit*
Another note... I did the entire soundtrack for the films "Final Curtain II" and also "Final Curtain III" and I did some additional tracks for "Final Curtain" and "Final Curtain IV: revenge"

WOW I certainly didn't expect this many people to respond! Well I must report that I can't really do anything for about a week. I am leaving for greater Toronto area on Sat and I don't have a place to live yet so I am most likely gonna spend the next week looking for a home after my work at my placement (I wonder how they feel about a student living out of his car?), however, as soon as I find a place or at least find internet access I will be able to make some better decisions and figure out how I am going to do this when I get back. I have taken a peek at everyones sites and I must admit I enjoyed everyone's samples I had them cranked at the school and it raised a few eyebrows. Anyway at this point though I would have to say that St. Vivus is closest to what I am looking for. You know that "Tex" sound. We all know it well I am sure. If any of you other guys have anything in that style feel free to let me know about it. I will be dropping by every couple days (if I can) to see what is going on so now's the time to offer up what you got. If you wanna make something original by all means feel free to. You have a month before I can do anything anyway so that is the perfect time to show off your stuff. Alright I'll be back in a few days, later guys.

HOLY CRAP I AM LIVING IN MY CAR! This sucks, my placement sucks, everything sucks. I just wanna get home so I can finish my PI story, but I have another 3 weeks in hell. Just wanted to let the board know that I am still alive and if anyone wants to start taking bets whether or not I will survive this ordeal I suggest taking bets NOW. Anyway I'll pop back later with an update. Wish me luck . . . . hope I don't have a run in with a seedy drifter.
Good luck Stu

WHO GETS EVICTED FROM A PARKING LOT!? Me, that's who. Just thought I'd keep everyone on the up and up as to what is going on. Still alive, but they stated that I can't live in the parking lot that I have been sleeping in for the past 2 weeks. Apparently it's a "health and safety issue" I think the bigger bosses just didn't want a guy sleeping in their parking lot. Oh well at least my plan worked, I held out long enough until the campgrounds opened up May 1st. I can't wait until I go home, only 2 more weeks to go. Camping should be fun, however, I am unsure if there is a rule that you can't camp in your car. I sure hope there isn't. Anyway I will keep everyone posted on what is happening.
On to the music. Has anyone new to show? Still interested? Did I scare everyone off about my tales of living in my car for a month? Lemme know what's going on. It gets very boring in that car at night, I promise 2 more weeks and I will be back home and everything will be fine and back to where I left before my placement. Also everyone that sees the what I have of the pilot are rather impressed with it so far so that must be a good thing.

Just one question, Stu - where are you posting from? An internet cafe? A friend's house?
You said you'd find internet access but you haven't said where yet.
Ouch...

You've got my sympathies, bro. How's your back's holding up? Car seats can't be all that comfortable to sleep in, no matter what kind of car. Find some way to get some of those spinal knots out, if you can.
I put up a couple of other things on soundclick, different stuff, more action oriented, in case there's call for that. But I'd love to see a synopsis of your project, whenever you can spare some time, especially for mood-setting purposes.
In the meantime, all I can say is what I usually tell myself in difficult times: "This, too, shall pass."
Hang in there, bud. Remember, you got friends here.

Well if it makes you feel any better, at least you are embracing the Tex Murphy way of life, albeit for a short period of time.
don't worry mate, the greatest rewards come from the hardest yards and a biggest risks. And like St V said, see a chiropractor when you finally get out of the car.
