Unofficial Tex Murphy

So, I'm wondering if anyone has received the UAKM and/or PD books yet.

I ordered them after Aaron's post and wasn't expecting them until next week. Today I received a box from Wordplay that had been opened and was empty. It came with a note on it from the Post Office that the box had arrived at the local Post Office unsealed and empty. I wonder if there's a chance that I got shipped an empty box by mistake or if maybe there's a rabid Tex fan out there tearing into shipments. Anyway, I just wanted to check if the shipments had already been sent out before I order another set of the books.

I got mine today too! Got both books and he signed them nicely. Didn't know what to expect when I said, just write something nice to me... Thanks, Mr. Conners!!

If he was the ornery type (and apparently he's not!), he could've wrote:

hehehee... I'm soooo glad I am NOT an author. I'd either be banned, protested, or have a death threat over me.

oh jason really, sounds a bit odd. Now if it was sealed & empty I could see this as the box being labelled & sealed by mistake but to have the box arrive at post office & unsealed seems like someone has helped themselves, or could it be that the box was never sealed & they fell out during posting. Is there any evidence that they were sealed.......maybe arron had too scotches while he was doing it.

Yeah, it looks like someone at the Post Office helped himself to the books. But, as you would expect, Aaron is extremely cool about things. And, maybe we created a new Tex fan. In any event, if this is the worst thing that happens to me this week, things are probably okay.

Just a quick, belated update: I received my books on Saturday and they were completely not-stolen this time! Aaron and Kris were awesome about the whole situation. I just hate that it was an ordeal for them. Now, on to reading...

I plan on buying a copy as soon as i've finished all endings. Two to go!

Am currently reading the new edition of Pandora Directive, after breezing through UAKM and few other books in between.

Thoroughly enjoyable they were too.
