Remake - Possible Solution

I know that a remake of the older games is a lot of work and BFG might not have the time or money for that and i would be more pleased if they're going to do another game instead of a remake.
But, i know we got some badass talented people out there. so, what if we, the fans, would do a remake, if BFG will allow us to do this? We've got the fmvs and music, hopefully even the sound files.
I've created the office scene from Under a killing moon with Unity, in about 2 days. I know the textures and models does not fit the fmv, this is a redecorated scene wink just to show what might be possible.
So, what do you think, can we (the fans, the backers) do it?
- I've updated some Overseer pics.

I personally think it's a lovely idea. But it might be a problem legally?

I'm speaking for myself, but loving these games the way I do (and suspecting you do, too) I would love to see what you have and would do. I really hope BFG will give this a 'GO' if it is at all possible.. It would be awesome!

PS: I had to reduce the quality and resolution drastically, cause of the size, but you can see the quality in the screenshots.

Nice!
I would really love to see this happen, either by the community or BFG. But how would be the best way to do the FMV? The original shots would need to be re digitized right, to get the best quality?

Nice job you've done there with Unity! I toyed around with it some years back and have always been impressed with its capabilities for such a reasonable price.

I saw this on the other board, and I have to say I loved it. Would definitely be a game I'd own. Think it would be better played dead-drunk?! I always felt monopoly needed that extra beverage boost to make it fun. A banker type I am not.....

I tried to do something like this a few years ago but I didn't know much about 3d back then. Now I'm an expert with 3D art. I'd be interested but only if we got BFGs blessing and I had some spare time. And it'd mostly be minor props only, nothing too major due to time constraints.

@mr_cyberpunk: A 3D expert? Nice, so you are interested?
I've got a mail form Steve (BFG) and he really liked my work, he said i should write a mail to Chris and maybe they will support us.
