Unofficial Tex Murphy

I have the games from GOG and I downloaded them for my Son on his computer so he could play them... He really enjoyed Moon and Pandora, but Overseer locks up in Tex's office every time and I'm not sure why... Anyone know if I should just redownload it and reinstall it or is there something else I can do to fix this issue???

I suspect you have hardware acceleration turned on in the graphics settings. This can cause the game to freeze. If you turn it off, it won't look as nice and the max resolution is 640x480, but it shouldn't freeze.

to start download version 2 installer as its the dvd version.
your locking up problem could be a couple of things

1. multicore processor

2. pc with 2 video cards

depending if your have either or both of the above, I can probably help you fix this.

I have sporadic error messages but seem to be able to deal with that. I am now in the gallery and when I try to put the weight bar to the chandelier, I crash out of Overseer. Anyone else have this happen?

check your audio confi in control panel of the game & make sure it set as midi mapper.

I know you help many people, but I don't know what you mean....

when you start overseer raise your mouse to the top of the page & you will see the config panel
click on audio, see the midi if its set to wave sound click the drop down box & you should see microsoft midi mapper. if it only shows the wave sound you will have to mute the midi. this causes the crash at the gallery & other crashes & also the error does not mean error message.

if you can't work this out let me know & I will post some screen shots
