Unofficial Tex Murphy

Open to everyone. If I had a scene in the new game(yeah, I know), I think I'd like it to go like this:

Walk into the Brew&Stew as a first-time customer:

Louie: "What can I get ya?"

My character: "Well a friend told me I should come and try the famous Armageddon blend."

Louie: "Are ya sure this is a friend?"

Me: "Yes, why?"

Louie: "No reason, here ya go."

Me: "Thank you. *takes a drink* "Urk! Ughm!" *falls over backwards*

Tex: "I see you've improved the recipe again, Louie."

My scene if I could be in the game

If Tex were at the police station for something, I'd be one of the criminals they were hauling to the drunk tank ...

"I swear ossifer, I don't have one drop of blood in my alcohol. I swear! Hey! Ouch!"

I had always imagined Rook giving me change for something and me walking out as Tex walked in.

It will always be just that - imagination!

I'd personally like to go out like one of the Red Shirts in an old Star Trek episode. I'd like to be the mangled corpse you see at the beginning of game that starts the story rolling.

All great ideas though. Sam that's very honourable to choose to "go out" as soon as you come in so to speak!

Scene of speeder accident, not directly involving Tex. All traffic monitoring video cameras not working in area.

One, of three witnesses, being interviewed by ambulance-chasing lawyer (Three Stooges look-a-like Moe).

Two, of three witnesses, being interviewed by newspaper reporter. (Three Stooges look-a-like Larry).

Three, of three witnesses, being interviewed by police person (Three Stooges look-a-like Curly).

Nyuk nyuk nyuk

All give conflicting stories and Tex sorts out the facts using his PI skills, capabilities, and wit.

Remember the scene in UAKM when the Winter Sequence is engaged? Tex has escaped with Eva, and you see the shot of the guys at the control station praying?

That guy. I'd wanna be that guy. The guy who goes "Aww... Shi-" just before we cut to the big explosion. In space.

Ooo, this is a good thread. The first thing that comes to mind is being some type of informant like Huggy Bear from Starsky and Hutch,

or the informant guy Garrett Morris played on Hunter. "Sporty"

Definitely not the same film noir time period.

I'd want to be a villain, personally. Either the magnanimous, intellectual villain like Gideon, or a ruthless psychotic like Cross. Or even just a mildly annoying villain. I voted for the rival P.I. option in Big Finish's extra area survey, and I'd love to be the sold-out corporate P.I. stealing all of Tex's business and unfairly taking credit for Tex's successes. I think it'd be a lot of fun being the Shooter McGavin to CJ's Happy Gilmore.

Well, I sent Big Finish my headshot and resume, so, who knows? I'm keeping my fingers crossed so hard they're practically welded.
