Problems with Overseer

Hello all! Currently playing through the Tex games for the first time and loving them, having bought them off GoG.com. Awesome stuff.

Am having a little bit of trouble with Overseer at the moment, though and it's very strange. I'm stuck and unable to progress any further through the game. I've got to the part where you have to enter a password to a computer, and a new location should pop up after you exit the computer screen ( I've checked with walkthroughs, and it's supposed to be the Fresno Offices I think).

However, my game does not do that. Nothing changes, I cannot progress and the hint system still says I need to enter the password even though I've already done so (repeatedly). Is Tex supposed to say something once he sees the computer screen? Because he doesn't make any comments on mine.

I've tried reloading some previous save games but to no avail, and would prefer not to restart the game and do it all over again if it's just going to do the same thing.

I'm on entertainment mode, and was wondering if maybe someone had a save game or something that could get me out of this little pickle? Thanks! :)

Sorry folks! I used a patch I found on this site and voila! It worked!

Should have done that before making this post! Doh!

Apologies! :)

I've been replaying OVerseer and i'm having the same problem. I applied the patch but it asks for the game disk, even though i have the GOG version. Any advice?

Is this maybe like the PD problem I had? You might need to change the mount directory to "." in the GOG dosbox config file.

It's hard to explain so you might be better off googling that one. :)

I assume you have now fixed your problem if you haven't,

the patch your applied has overwritten gog exe file the patch was not needed. reinstall the exe file from gog disks.
