I have played all the Tex Murphy games but it has been awhile and my memory is a bit blurry.

Sadly, Kevin Jones passed away, and Mac will not be reappearing. Perhaps someone else knows more details about his death.

Oh I didn't know he passed away, he will definitely be missed. He was my second favorite character right after his brother Chris Jones "Tex Murphy".

Yup, Chris and Kevin played off each other very well, definitely helped make The Pandora Directive even more special.

That one scene in Mac's office, in Pandora, after the scuffle on the roof? My favorite Mac Malden scene.

I had no idea Kevin had passed away. I'm sad to hear that.

Unfortunately, I learned about two weeks ago that Silvanna Gallardo who played Eve Clements in Overseer passed away in January. Tex needs a friend in the police department, so I guess they'll be going with someone new.

well I'm glad the new game has happened now & not later as few more years no-one will be left.

I heard about Kevin's death a while back. I was pissed. God can't take my Mac away, damnit! Truly one of the great characters of UAKM and Pandora. A great rival for Tex when it came to playing the "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" scenarios. Very funny, very sarcastic, and very sad to see him go.

Judging from the RetroNick podcast interview that Chris did, Kevin's passing is still a very sensitive issue.

Kevin also did some work on the Links games. I'm not sure, but I heard he was the "I think he hit the tree, Jim" guy. He did a lot of radio work, and had an excellent voice. I believe he also did a voice-over for the UAKM trailer.

yes in the interview the guy didn't know what to say when chris stated Mac had passed away, he then said he was sorry & should have checked into the questions first.

Yeah i was thinking about that too. Maybe some rookie cop who Tex runs circles around to get the information he needs out of the cop before he even realises he's given it. And as time goes on perhaps the rookie gets dragged into the intrigue and starts to help Tex with less reluctance even at the risk of losing favour with his superiors.

I for one hope they account for Mac's absence by promoting him out of his former job to commissioner. Seems like an appropriate and respectful way of sending him off.

Yes, I only heard about Kevin's passing around the beginning of the Kickstarter, very sad to hear indeed... Anyone know how it happen???

I had always wished that Mac's role had been bigger, maybe showing up at the scene of crimes or something... A scene with Mac and Tex on the Roof after the BAK fight would have been kewl... Some words exchanged and stuff and then Mac yells to a patrolman to get Murphy out of his sight and he'll deal with him at the station and then maybe the scene continues with Mac looking around and stuff... That would have been pretty kewl...

Shame indeed for someone like Kevin to be taken from us so early... I'm sure it is a sensitive subject with Chris... As well as they worked together, I can't even imagine how close they must have been... The chemistry onscreen tells you that they were close...



Anyway, lets lighten the mood... We've got the other 4 returning, Chris, Chelsee, Rook, and Louie... Anyone know if Nilo is coming back or if there is anything written that has to do with Nilo???
How about Clint or Beek??? Anyone know if Curly Green is available to return as the Electronics Shop guy, Zack Williams???
I'd really like to see Lucia Pernell {Cat Hammons} return... She was great, her and Tex would be really good friends I think...

Is the Flamingo still going to be open for business, will Chris Connors return as Gus??? I know Nicole is busy, so we can probably count her out, doesn't mean they can't get another rising starlet to dance and sing a bit...

Having The Big P.I. In The Sky come back certainly isn't an unthinkable concept, he is still out there cranking out projects, he is currently working on 3 things right now, so bringing him in to do some voice overs isn't necessarily impossible...


Forgive Me, but without looking through the posts I can't remember who it was that suggested this, but I loved the idea of having James Earl Jones come in as a Holographic Image for the Hint System... But that would be a lot of lines I'm sure, not sure if they'd be able to get him to do all that... He would also have to do regular voice overs for the game, because not all of us will be using the Hint System... I'd play through it after I finished the game just to see each and every hint given by him, but normally I don't like using Hint Systems...


I wouldn't mind visiting the Moon or maybe Mars again... With the increased budget I'm sure they'd be able to do this... Not sure what all Aaron has written for this and what he can and can't add to it though... I'd really like to see traveling involved though...

Gawd I hope this is successful, I would love to see more than just One Tex game come out... I'd love to see another run of Five games, that would just be too awesome...
