Overseer DVD another video problem

The videos do play, BUT the first several seconds of them do not... So for instance in the first dialogues of the game I'll get Chelsea's replies but nothing of what Tex says.

I have the mediamatics player 20 meg version and the Overseer patch installed. I use a GeForce4 Ti4200, win2k, and a Toshiba DVD.

Any help appreciated...

Reinstalling windows seems to have solved the problem.


However, the MIDI music doesn't play...

I never got the MIDI working, either. I just went without. It's not too bad a loss. Pandora or UAKM would have been downright unplayable sans MIDI!

Is this related to the type of Windows used? Has anybody got the midi working under 2k or XP ?
