Unofficial Tex Murphy

I'm having problems with the game freezing or crashing as soon as I try and hide behind the fridge in the Smugglers pyramid.
I've tried it in vanilla XP mode and with VDMS and DosBox, same thing happens every time.

Anyone help?

Probably a missing or damaged game file. The only way to be certain is to run it on a true DOS machine - and not many people still can.

I tried both the HoTU and Abandonia versions, and exact same thing happened.
Does anyone have a savegame past this area?
