Should characters wear different clothes on different days?

From my last poll I just thought of another one. Since the Tex games are normally broken down in days what do you all think about the Ask About characters wearing different clothes on different days like most people? Obviously it's breaking some adventure game traditions, but due to increasing memory capabilities I don't see why 2 or 3 day rotations shouldn't be considered. What that would mean is that the same Ask About Response or A/B/C conversations if applicable would have to be filmed 2 or 3 different times. It would also distinguish characters more in terms of fashion. Having said that I don't think the fashion aspect applies to Tex and there are a lot more areas in the game that deserve higher priority.

Sounds too complicated for not a lot of payout. They need to keep the shooting days down to keep expenses down, and I don't think it's a big enough issue to warrant it. I would prefer shooting time be spent on cinematics.
And, many of the characters wear the same stuff all the time anyway. Louie with his apron, Nilo with some vile wife-beater, cops in uniform.

I can't say I'd really notice it enough to care if they did a fashion parade throughout the week so it may not be worth it for them to do a big effort on that side. I think though its a bit of a cartoon cliche it does make the characters more memorable when they wear certain clothes. Some characters may change clothes though. I think that happened more often in Overseer, especially with characters you don't see for long periods of time. But I still remember Tex's wardrobe in past games with all the same outfits, I think it suits him and the other characters.

It might make things more realistic, but I think it's a budget-buster and I don't think most gamers are going to notice that much anyway.

I think Tex pretty much had the same wardrobe in Pandora with the exception of the bathrobe scene, Day 9, the clown ending and the Mission Street ending. I think Chelsee had the most with her newsstand attire, her apartment, her Fuschia Flamingo outfit, her Phoenix wardrobes in the 2 best endings and her vidphone interactions. Gordon, Regan, Emily, Malloy, Archie, and Pernell also had different clothes. Other than that it was pretty much the same. What really inspired this post is that Ask Abouts have always been the same clothes in the 3 games no matter what day you're on.

If Mr.Jones just wore stuff out of his own closet, I'd accept that. I suspect the sneakers were his all along.

I don't see why Chris or Suzanne or anyone else couldn't wear their own personal clothing provided it went with the theme of the character and setting... In some cases you have uniforms, like Louie's Apron or a Cop's uniform... But as long as it doesn't come out of the game's budget I don't see where clothes should be that big of an issue...
I like how Tex wore 2 different types of footwear in Pandora... When he goes down to the Temple, if you play the Gamer's Level and go through the Fireball Room, if you fall off one of Tex's responses is that he isn't sure if it was due to his clumsiness or the worn tread on his "sneakers"... But when you are on the pedestal helping Regan you'll notice that the both of them are wearing Cowboy Boots...
Shouldn't Tex have stopped at a Walmart or something and picked up some Hiking Boots before going into a Jungle???

I wonder if the whip was really Suzanne's.

Seems more like a discontinuity as far as Day 9 goes unless the sneakers he's talking about wearing was in the in the context of previously, where the worn sneakers just made him more clumsy. You should check the jungle sequence or any FMV footage in between to see what footing Tex is wearing.
I don't think Tex has a clothing store, because I could imagine the budget problems if you could decide what clothes Tex wore on a whim. It would also kind of go against that closet in Under A Killing Moon.
However you are probably talking about a non interactive clothing store. I'd say it's just budgeting on Tex's part, because there are a lot of items that would make sense for Tex to go out and buy, but he doesn't. He probably also didn't imagine being in a fireball chamber. However with all the locked doors it would also make sense for Tex to get a lockpicking kit, but I'm glad he wont, because it would dumb down gameplay.
Finally even if the actors brought their own clothes, refilming something 2 or 3 times would still reduce the budget.

I have to say the only time I really noticed that a character didn't change their clothes was in Phantasmagoria. I thought WOW, her shirt must reek! LOL

The obvious solution is to just have Tex wear nothing but his hat.
