Unofficial Tex Murphy

Started creating a series of short parody / gag comics with the Kickstarter date etc. on it. Some will be crossovers with other games, tv shows or movies whilst others will be solely Tex Murphy-based. I'll be posting them to Deviantart and anywhere else I can think of for image sharing. Feel free to spread and share.

If you recognised who the dog character was without the subtitle you deserve a dog biscuit-- I mean, a cookie! I've always liked that series and I think he does have similarities to Tex Murphy. Noir detective atmosphere with inner voiceovers, sense of humour and wit, often down on his luck, never really gets the one girl he's always been chasing. Also his creator hates guns so he doesn't get one even if others do such as in one episode where his boss forced him to make everything more violent (including drawing in machine guns) and they say:
Ace: "In that case draw me a 45 while I draw their fire!"
Animator: "No can do, Ace"
Ace: "*sigh* I know I know, Ace Hart never uses a gun."
Animator: "Right, you use your wits!".
