But like I said, the Ship is quite large which makes the general area pretty vast... It's a pretty slim chance that Cross would know the exact spot that Regan and Tex are going to materialize from the transporter... For all Cross knew they could have ended up on the other side of the ship...
You can't use the Temple as a reference, because the Temple is no where to be seen afterwards... So the Temple and the Ship could be miles apart...
I think Witt relayed the information on the Pandora Device to Cross and then just stayed away so that whichever team emerged victorious he could claim allegiance to...
