So do you have any Favorites??? Is your team currently in the playoffs??? Who do you think will win on February 6th??? Do you watch the Superbowl for the Commercials???
Does American Football get broadcasted overseas??? Any of you watchers??? I know that they play in England from time to time, but I don't know how widespread it is throughout the world...

A friend of mine and myself usually try to catch the Superbowl every year. We've missed a few, but we still try to make it a yearly tradition.

I'm a big Seahawks and Lions fan. But other than them I also like Green Bay and the Redskins (<----yikes). Not a very impressive list of teams there but I've been a fan for quite some time and I'm sticking with them, I'm very hopeful for the Seahawks on Saturday.

Lions, Igloop? Cool! I am a lifetime Detroit area native and tho' they have had several decades of mediocre football I still love the darling little kittens.
Good thread, Baf, and very timely. I think New England will go all the way this year, IF they can get by those pesky Jets (I like them too). But, who will be their opponent? Flip a coin. Your guess is as good - if not better - than mine.
And yes, I watch the Superbowl not for the game only but for the ads, too! In fact, we should have a day after thread posting our favorite ads from the game. I think we did that last year, eh?

I am pulling for the Falcons, but it will take them playing some good games to go all the way.

I'm pulling for them too, but my concern is their lack of playoff experience. On paper they should go to the big game, but things usually work out different on the field.

The only reason I look forward to the Super Bowl is McDonalds will sell their special of 50 chicken nuggets that weekend.
Yum. I know it's bad for me, but it's only once a year.

Last time they played the Patriots won 45 to 3...
I've been a Patriots fan since the early 90s... So of course I think they'll take it home... Question is, who they gonna play in the Superbowl... I'm thinking either Green Bay or Chicago...
I'd like to see it be Chicago, that's my father's favorite, so it would make for a good Superbowl Party and some kewl trash talking...

I don't really have any favorites, but I'm not much of a football fan. If I did it would be the guy who can make it from start to finish without any tackles and just run into the touchdown zone with the ball in his possession.

Well, Baf, now what? Green Bay against the Bears and the Jets at the Steelers. Not exactly what the experts predicted is it? Still, it should prove rather interesting. Who do you think will play for the championship?
One thing stands out as obvious: all 4 teams have one the Super Bowl one time or another.

I think Brady wants to beat the dog beater in the Pro-Bowl, so in order to go to the Pro-Bowl he would have to forgo the Superbowl...
I feel it is the Bears Year...

Well, I am a Falcons and Patriots fan and the only dance they're going to is the pro bowl prom.
OK, Baf, Bears sound good. But, I'm gonna stir up the pot a bit and go with the Jets vs. the Packers.
