Telltale Games to produce Back To The Future & Jurassic Park

At the moment there's no telling of the visual style or even the interface that the games will adopt, but Telltale have entered an agreement with Universal to produce games based on the aforementioned films. Personally, i'm unsure (apart from a remake) how the Back To The Future Games could be viable. I wouldn't want to see them create stories from where it left off but a remake could have some potential just as long as it doesn't follow too closely to the film otherwise the plot and resolution could be predictable. For now, Jurassic Park seems to be the franchise that could go the furtherest given the open ended takes which could be applied.

Telltale games has made the same game over and over again. Jurassic Park and Back to the Future will be nothing more than crappy rehashes of their already crappy craptastic crappiness.
Or to put it in a slightly more mature light...
They make adventure games but it almost seems to be devoid of interesting puzzles. You just have to find some items, bring the items to the right person and then you unlock more dialogue options to watch. The writing is funny, but really they'd be better off making cartoons than games.

People are running out of Originality it seems... Both in the movie industry as well as in the gaming industry... All the remakes make me want to vomit nonstop until I see my shoes come out my mouth...

Yea, the only Telltale games I've played were the Homestarrunner games. But, I thought just episodes of Homestarrunner would have been much more enjoyable. The games seemed to get very repetative very quickly.Vracar wrote:Telltale games has made the same game over and over again. This orginally had my previous reply before editing I think I refreshed replied.
People love shooting things and blowing things up... So if it isn't Zombies or Enemy Soldiers, might as well be Dinosaurs... Destruction sells...Bjyman wrote:I think the Jurassic Park series has been milked dry.

This is true... besides I LOVED Jurassic Park. In fact I am going to put the first one on right now and watch it while my computer renders for a ridiculously long time!Bafitis wrote:People love shooting things and blowing things up... The saddest part is: my computer will be done rendering before the film finishes, compared to how long it would've taken on the computer they used for the special effects in the film back then.... yikes!
-Cub. =o)
Has anyone here ever played Dino Crisis??? I felt that it was more than a Shoot-Em-Up game... I'd hate to see TellTale copy it though... But that's really the only way I could see JP turned into somewhat of an Adventure Game...MrMamen wrote:I can't really see how they can turn Jurassic Park into an adventure game.
Dino Crisis was basically Resident Evil, but with Dinos...

Two new videos from Telltale on the making of the Back to the Future games:
Christopher Lloyd:

The new Marty McFly:

The actor hired for the voice of McFly is PERFECT. You seriously wouldn't know it wasn't him if you didn't read the cast list. Interestingly, it's not a remake of the films or a re-imagining, it's a sequel.
