Pandora in DOSBox
I've got Pandora running in DOSBox, but I'm having several problems and was wondering what settings others have used to get it working properly.
One problem is some small blips during video scenes. I've increased the cycles to 15000 and that got rid of most of my problems, but some occasional blips still occur.
The more serious problem is that when in movement mode, the game is extremely chuggy. I'm not entirely familiar with what all the DOSBox options do, so I'm pretty much just playing around changing things to see what happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There really isn't much more you can do in DOSbox to eliminate the "chuggy" movement you mention. But there is something you can do in the game, and that is to open the Auxiliary Panel then open Config and click on the Preferences tab and change the RENDERING QUALITY to MED. Or you can reduce the window size in MOVEMENT MODE.
I quit using DOSbox because I wasn't satisfied with running the game in a smaller window size, and still not completely doing away with the choppy movement. So I'm now using the XP Command prompt to run Pandora - and it runs trouble free. If you want the instructions and the modified Pandora files to run the game from the XP Command prompt, send me an e-mail: [email protected]
