Is Alex Bark going into Poll Overdrive?
Jen, you're too much!
I voted No and here's the reason why:
The life of a board is equal to the life of its members. There are some posts I don't read because 1) I don't understand the computer lingo, or 2) they consist of info regarding games I've never played or don't understand. However, I personally would never discourage any reputable member from posting or setting up a poll. If you don't like polls, don't read the message and don't vote. Just ignore it.
Alex is.....Alex, and we must accept him as is. He's a good guy filled with exuberance bubbling over into typed expressions on this board. Think of it this way: He could be Mike. Remember him? All the crap we put up with until he was banned from the community. Speaking of community, keep in mind that our international family is quite diverse. We have people from all over the world who regularly visit and enjoy what they see and read. Some will post more (like Alex) and some may never post at all.
It's truly refreshing to see the wide variety of comments generated every day. We all appreciate the value of this board and what James has done. An extra post or two from some of the more zealous members just creates more discussion while keeping the Tex Murphy fires lit in hopes of resurrecting the game. What did Obi-Wan tell Luke in Empire? "Patience!" It is a grand virtue.
