Unofficial Tex Murphy

Well after much struggling i got overseer to work on my XP box ... kinda. I played pretty much flawlessly with the exception of getting an error that says "error code does not point to an error" every time i load a new zone. that is until i got to ANASAZI RUIN namely the broken bridge. after the cut scene it crashes every time and I cannot get past it. SO i installed a Virtual machine and installed win 98 where it doesn't crash at that point but it locks up after about 6 seconds of being able to play.

Any ideas on solutions?

Thank you so much for keeping the Tex Murphy community alive and kicking!!! I hope that this series is resurrected from the dead hopefully that will one day come to pass.

error code in xp stops when you mute the midi in config panel, the bridge crash happens to everyone. I assume you are playing dvd version, to get past this swap to the cd version & then continue with the dvd. Some luck in the past with changing the config panel from decoder hardware to software & then again change back after this section.
