Finished Pandora for the first time.

Well, i'm finally glad to say that after years of failed attempts, I actually finished Pandora Directive. My final score was 950 out of 1500 (aaarggh) and I finished up on the Lombard Street path with two holodates in one! No Chelsea sadly :(

For now, I'll set Pandora aside as I purchased Overseer yesterday. I've played Overseer about half a dozen times now, but the trip down memory lane will be enjoyable.

How many endings are there to Pandora? When I return to Pandora, i'm going to have some fun and be the bad guy.

Eight, isn't it? Four bad, three mid, one seriously good? I might be wrong here though.

Which is just cause to start playing PD again! TO THE TEXMOBILE!!

I've read somewhere though that in doesn't work out being quite that many as some of the available endings actually appear in multiple paths. By the sounds of things, the three paths may lead to a total of eight possible outcomes but only 5 or 6 of them are truly unique. Not sure to be precise, but I have heard conflicting numbers of 7 and 8.

I always assumed it was 7... the clown ending being the only one that was duplicated between the Boulevard of Broken Dreams and Lombard St paths.

Boulevard:
Tex Dies
Tex Dies
Tex Dies
Clown

Lomard St
Clown
Cary Grant Holodate

Mission St
Tex hooks in with Chelsee

Total = 7

As a side not, as for which one is most accurate: The Pandora Novel has the Cary Grant Holodate ending, as the last lines in the book are the same as they are in the game: "Sure they weren't real, but then again, what is?" ...GREAT closing lines if you ask me!

I've read about the rumors of there being 8 endings like Fred is thinking, but I've only been able to get the 7 that Cub talks about...

Lombard Street is the most likely ending for Tex... While Mission Street is kewl, it just isn't the likely route that would happen in the Tex Life we know and love...

It's true like you say Joel that the same ending appears even though it's a different path, because there are different conversations and such to be had in the different paths, even though the ending appears the same it's still been a different path...

I've gotten the one where Tex gets shot, but still gets out of the Space Ship Once and no matter how hard I try I can't figure out what got me there and can't get it again... Whenever I try I either get shot and then Fitzpatrick tells me there's no time or I get trapped in the engine room and get out too late or I manage to get out without getting shot... It really frustrated me for awhile... Still does now that I think about it... lol

I am pretty sure that choosing to put down the gun or shoot cross if you manage to get Cross to trust you enough to give you a gun results in you escaping the ship, but getting shot. It's more along the Lombard St path and one of the boulevard endings.

You are correct, Baf. The 8th ending is Mission Street 2 where Tex gets a holo-date. If you go to my response to the GG points thread you will see how to arrive at that ending.

NOTE: SPOILER IS NEXT!

However, the rest as recorded here are accurate with some minor exceptions or should I say emendations. For example: Boulevard has 3 endings where Tex dies. But exactly what are the circumstances? Each is a little different. My suggestion is to play the game over and try these endings as well. What I do is save the game BEFORE Tex and Reagan get on the pedestal that takes them out of the Mayan labyrinth. Then, when faced with the three choices - Shoot Cross, Shoot Fitzpatrick, Drop the gun - each one is a variable tho' the final result is the same.

I have ended up with chelsea's strip tease a couple of times but mainly holo dating.
Never managed to kill off emily or archie. Once I ended up being the sad clown..

Going down the Boulevard path is NOT enjoyable but it is memorable. Also, we see a side of Tex that could happen to any one of us if we pursue selfish interests.

Yeah, seeing Tex in a Darker Light was interesting indeed... CJ really should have done more acting...
I've gotten the Cowgirl costume a few times, well at least that's what I take it as...
Her face is so lit up, she looks so happy... They must have had a lot of fun filming...

Getting that ending is fun, but it just doesn't feel right for Chelsea to have a huge turn around like that...
There should have been another ending, ending with the two of them going out for a nice Dinner or something... Instead of wild striping and sex and instead of holo-dating, they go and have a nice romantic night on the town...

Wow...from all of the paths and endings discussed here, i've clearly only experienced about thirty percent of the game. I have some work to do.

Yes, Pandora was definitely made with the Replay option clearly in mind...

You may feel a little weird and maybe even disgust, but I do recommend playing the ignorant and greedy @sshole at least once, just to get the experience...
It's definitely not the Tex we know and love, but it is worth playing for sure...

I beg to differ. Breaking up with blue-balling Bando, telling Rook where to stick it, getting drunk, being a greedy jerk... fun times!

While it may be fun {in short order} to get Tex Laid, and to tell Rook where to stick it, it still isn't the Lovable Tex we all know... Tex and Chelsea belong together... Rook has helped Tex out, even though we never get to see it... I mean why would Tex owe Rook 200 bucks at the beginning of Pandora if Rook wasn't a friend and helped him out from time to time???

It is a very memorable experience, not to be missed for sure... Not sure I would put it in the Fun column though...

Ahahaha, I definitely count on it. I love being the bad guy. Reminds me of Dark Forces 2 where your decisions through the game determine which side of the force you're on during the game's climax. Looking forward to it.
