"HI Tex................"

Well, it's in the title.
I tried to run MM on Dosbox because my experiment with Shino D7 (boot disk) ended up being the exact same failure. I walk in the office at the very very beginning, take the comlink, the girl says "Hi Tex!" and then it freezes. I click, I type, I click, I cry, I drink, I stop Dosbox then I go to sleep. It's the third time today. I'm tired of sleeping. Help me.

Try the site above for some Info... If you can't seem to find it, send that guy an Email... Give him some time to get back to you though... He's had some up and downs lately, more downs unfortunately, but last we heard from him things were looking really up...

If no one here can give you any useful information Nilo will be able to...

Did you download the VMS Sound program as well???

I don't download too much from the Web when it comes to games, so I can't tell you how reliable Underdogs is...

I had the exact same problem. You have to goof around with the settings until it works, really.
You probably need to set the sound to play as realsound, and to do that, you may need to delete the .cfg file in the MM folder so it will ask you setup questions again.
I had the same problem, but it was quickly fixed by:

rename the MM.cfg file (pretty sure that is the name) to something like mm.bak....

Then start the game.

It will configure the game based on the equipment you have. Choose 1 for mouse, then 2 for Roland, then whatever number sound blaster is. Then click 2 for 220 then click 4 for the correct IRQ.

The game will now work fine. The reason the game isn't working is the .CFG file from Underdogs is configured for a different setup with the wrong IRQ. I don't know how it was able to work at all until Stacy says "Hello Tex...." but there you have your solution.
You guys are awesome!
It works perfectly.

Love to you all! I'm finally able to appreciate the only Tex game I've never played.
