Yes I am

Drunk as a skunk. Just got home from a friend of mine's girlfriend's 30th birthday. I am 25 years old. I have no girlfriend. Apparently I am too "nice" to have one of those. It would seem being a gentleman these days does not count.
For some reason that makes me sad.
I wish gentlemen were still a respected breed. Instead I'm just pure single. Tired of it, and the hassle that brings me.
I wish chivalry was still appreciated. It would be a good thing!

Ain't that the truth... Thank god I'm married... lol
You hear about these personals where women keep saying they want the "Nice Guy" or a "Gentleman", but when one stares them in the face what do they do??? They go to the Asshole who will beat on them 2 months from now that is standing behind you...
Then she goes and has kids with the Asshole, spreading the Asshole Gene, and then finally comes back to the Nice Guy wanting him to take care of her and raise the other guy's kids...

How odd! I am also 25 years old with no girlfriend! I'm not drunk, although that can be fixed.

Mm, don't even remember posting this at all. Not even a bit. Please ignore it since all that really happened was that a potential love interest shot me down.
Y'know. After six months of hunting her and her letting me. Musta been a wee bit maudlin'.
Today I'm more like, aww, screw it, I don't care.
More fish inna sea, eh? Back to the drawing board and so on, I s'pose.

Let's face the facts; women will always be looking for one extra quality that their current prospective boyfriend does not have.
Reminds me of the Tex Murphy quote, spoken by Gus Leech:
Tex: So how much is a membership?
Gus: One dollar more than whatever you got.
Ain't that the truth when it comes to relationships as well.

Gus Leach - Bouncer, bartender, bodyguard, entertainer, pianist, generous host and love swami. Man of many talents.
Wasn't he played by Aaron Conners' brother?

Some girl at work last week asked whatever happened to chivalry. The response she got was that it died with equality.

Sorry, guys, but "Nice Guy" is NOT dead. Just keep searching and you will find a woman who appreciates nice guys. They're out there. However, make sure you're looking in the right place. If you go to a sewer you'll come back smelly.

Oww.. OWW... Jim! Seriously! That was a horrible analogy... Metaphor... Whatever. Nasty visuals! Nasty I tell you!
But yes, I've met at least three girls I would call close enough to be soulmates. So I know they're out there. But alas, there are... other factors that keep destroying my relationships.

That is an awesome quote.
Funnily enough whenever someone asks me if I beleive in equality I often say no... they are quite taken back at first until I tell them: kindness is the act of putting someone's needs above yours whether you like it or not.
