Martian Memorandum crashing with DOSBox

I downloaded MS and MM off abandonware sites and got Mean Streets working in DOSBox fine, but I can't get MM to work. After loading it in DOSBox, I just get a black screen. Funny thing is, it works without DOSBox, but I get no MIDI sound of course.

Never mind. I was wrong - I do use DOSBox for MM.

I found out what to do, but I doubt the poster is stil here
Simply use any text editor to open mm.cfg and change the fourth number to 4. This does it for me. mm.cfg will then read 14241.

Or delete MM.CFG altogether and go through the mouse/sound/music setup options when the game loads. Reason is all machines and all DOSBox configs are slightly different. This will rule out a sound setup problem.
The game will ask you for the Soundblaster IRQ, Address etc. You can see/change DOSBox's SB settings in the config file.
