The little lady and I watched Scorched last night and though it was certainly not Oscar material it did have a decent story line and several good laughs. Stars: Will Ferrell and Alicia Silverstone with some good support from the very funny John Cleese.

It's probably one of the most well written and produced films I have seen for a while. And DiCaprio is a fantastic actor, especially in this film. It's a very very good insight into mental illness, and explores it from a perspective I have not seen done so well before.

I loved this movie. It's so good to see movie and know it's great.

I wouldn't mind playing a Tex Murphy game just like is. It would explain a lot of things, wouldn't it?

We watched The King of California yesterday starring Michael Douglas and Evan Rachel Wood. Quirky movie if ever I saw one but delightful just the same. Good movie for a rainy-stay-at-home-day.

Indeed... I was thinking that as well when I watched it: "This would make a good detective/horror game!"

Also, saw 'Boy in the Striped Pyjamas' a couple of nights ago. Touching... really touching, and tragic. A great piece of cinema! Just seeing the holocaust through the eyes of an 8 year old (and very naive) boy gives you a whole new and touching perspective, one I have not felt so strongly since 'Life is Beautiful'.

Okay, so I just saw Shutter Island.

I loved it.... wife just thought it was okay..... She said it was too long, but I thought it was perfect.

Hey Cube, you said you would so play a game that was like that movie.

Play Silent Hill 2 for PS2. The basic premise is the same, but the setting and characters are different.

This is definitely different than your average Scorsese film, but I hope he does more movies like this in the future.

Watch a movie called Armored, starring Lawrence Fishburne, Matt Dillon, Fred Ward, and a few others...

The movie was okay I suppose, but it just felt like it was missing something... It had plot and some action... Sounds weird considering the amount of talent in the movie, but it just felt like Bad Acting...

I'd like other views on this movie, it's only an hour and 25 minutes of your time, so if you can give it a watch and let me know what you think of it...

Taking my son to see that Diary Of A Wimpy Kid this weekend... He owns all the books and re-reads them all the time... Lets hope the movie holds up...

Okay saw the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid... Pretty good movie from a Kid's point of view... I enjoyed it for the most part... It had some pretty good life lessons in there... The acting could have been a little better, but you can only hope for so much from a bunch of kids... It did have Steve Zahn as the Wimpy kid's father...

Okay I'm gonna have to watch Armored again... I gave the DVD from Netflix to my parents so they could watch it and they told me they thought it was a great movie... So maybe I missed something the first time I watched it... So I'm gonna give it another go around...

Saw Alice in Wonderland (Tim burton) a few nights ago. Probably one of the worst films I have seen in a couple of years. Actually was shaking myself in order to stay awake. Very disappointed.

Saw X-files Fight the future again.

What a great movie.
It is just fun all around and marks when the show finally revealed the entire plot of what was supposed to happen.
Acting was great, effects, great, just all around entertaining.
Been watching the mythology dvd set again.
I really enjoy this show =)

Well, today we saw The Ghost Writer and I must say this is a VERY good movie. Great cast, well-acted, a few plot twists and an unusual ending. If you see it beware! This is a slow moving movie feeding you just enough clues to keep you guessing right to the very end. But, don't let its slowness cause your mind to wander; you need to pay attantion.

BTW, it was given a veru good rating by critics and fans alike.

Watched the New Twilight move, Twilight: New Moon, due to the repeated request of a friend, so I finally buckled...
Really wish I had stood my ground for this one... That's 2 hours and 15 minutes of my life that I'll never get back... lol
New Moon was sooo boring... They could have at least made the action scenes between the Vampires and Wolves longer and a bit more graphic...

Unless you are a die hard fan of this Twilight series I'm gonna have to suggest that you leave this one on the shelf... Maybe, just maybe catch it on TV once it comes out, that is if you don't have anything better to do for 2 hours...

Also watched a thriller called Triangle starring Melissa George... Not a bad movie considering the main theme centered around the Time Mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle... It could have been better, don't get me wrong... It was lacking in the suspense department... But not all bad...

Saw Alice in Wonderland in 3d.

It was a fun film in its own right. Johnny Depp and the Red Queen were ugly as hell =P

I say it was a good movie in its own right though, because it didn't follow the story very closely at all. It took snippets from both Carroll's books and Burton kind of just ran with it.
It was still fun, but is not recommended for people that cherish the original story who wanted to see it kept in tact as it was written.

The Disney movie is much closer to the original Alice in Wonderland, while this one was a mishmash of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, and done very liberally.

Although I still enjoyed it.

Been awhile since I've said my piece on movies...

Saw Hot Tub Time Machine and Kick Ass this weekend...

Both pretty funny movies, but I would have to say that Hot Tub was the better of the two...

Kick Ass seemed like it was trying to be both Comedy/Action and Action/Drama at the same time... Just didn't seem to work right with this movie... I think it would have been better left at Comedy/Action...
Still a decent flick worth seeing if you are into the Superhero bit, which I know a lot of us here are... But don't expect it to be like Watchmen or Batman...

As for Hot Tub, it was just funny all around... It had just enough plot to have it make sense, like a good Comedy should... I think they could have done a bit more with it, but still a good laugh and well worth seeing...

Also saw the Fourth Kind... Interesting movie, will certainly make you think considering it is based off of true events... I'm thinking of doing some more research into it...
It is supposedly about Alien Abductions and whatnot up in Nome Alaska...

Planet 51... Not bad for a Animation... I really expected it to be funnier... But if you have little ones, I would say 12 and under, it should be a good laugh for the family...

Saw Clash of the Titans a couple weeks back... Now that is a good flick, if you see it make sure you see it in 3-D...

Cop Out, Not as funny as I was expecting it to be, but still turned out to be a good all around flick... Made me think kind of like Die Hard meets Beverly Hills Cop... Though I'm a very big Tracy Morgan fan though... But Bruce Willis, don't think there is a movie he has done that I haven't liked...
I wonder if there'd be any chance of getting him in on the new Tex Murphy when it gets started... :D Just wishful thinking, but maybe he could play Tex's brother or something who comes into town for a visit and then tags along during part of the case...

If by some obscure miracle they get Bruce Willis into Tex Murphy he absolutely has to be the main antagonist!
