The last film you´ve seen and your thoughts about it

I watched Drag Me To Hell last night... I wasn't very impressed... It was a different concept to be sure, but it just didn't tickle my fancy...

I have The Proposal to watch tonight, hoping that it will be as funny as the trailers seem to be... Also gonna give the new Fast and Furious a try some time this weekend...
The Paved Straight Road, Won't Always Get You Farther Than The Winding Dirt Road...

I'm sorry to hear that, partly because I highly recommended it. Maybe one has to be a fan of Sam Raimi-type horror movies to appreciate it.

Do you like the Evil Dead series with Bruce Campbell?
I went to see I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell today.

If you've seen The Hangover, you won't be able to help making comparisons, even though this movie is considerably different and more believable.

I don't think I would recommend it to any of our fairer sex members (unless she really likes watching guys display totally tasteless and improper behavior and a lot of strip club scenes.) Definitely a guy movie and if you manage to make it all the way to the end, it actually does have some socially redeeming values. But mostly not.
Don't get me wrong Doc, the move was okay, it just felt like it lacked substance... I'm not a big fan of the "Use Your Imagination" style movies... I'd rather see the demons than have to imagine them and that's what it felt like I had to do...
I don't mind a movie where I have to put some thought into it, like a good Suspense... But I don't watch Horror to think... lol

I just think that Drag Me To Hell could have been done better...

Going to try and watch The Proposal tonight... My parents tell me that it's pretty good...

Saw 3 movies this weekend.

1. Bigger, Stronger, Faster

Excellent documentary on Anabolic Steroids. Follows 3 brothers, 2 who are on it and the film maker, the 3rd who is against it. Very well done, and sad at times.

2. Zodiac

One of the better who done it movies I have seen. Amazing they never caught this guy. Really enjoyed this film, but seemed a bit long.

3. Where the Wild Things Are.

Fantastic film, but it seemed a little too deep for a kid to understand. Much deeper than the book as the book only has Max sort out his emotions concerning his wild out of control side where the movie delves much deeper into the many emotions a child might experience having each wild thing represent a different aspect of his personality. This movie is more for a kids above the age of 7 or 8. I think adults will like it too, if they want to see an artsy film.

Watched State of Play tonight and I recommend this thriller to everyone. Geat cast, well acted and intense story line. Stars: Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck, Helen Mirren and many other recognizable faces.
"If you look to me for illumination, you better have a flashlight!"
Saw the Mist.

Pretty good movie. Deals with how normal sane people completely degenerate to a primitive state when isolated from the rest of the world... and when they are scared sh*tless.

Most people will either like the ending or completely hate it. I personally liked it... I found it rather unsettling.

Anything less from Stephen King and it wouldn't be worth watching... :D

How do you think you would have handled it if you had been that guy???

That ending pissed me off to no end. :x
I dunno if it was the "last" one I saw, but one of the ones that really sticks out as being awesome and a lot of people don't know about it -- "Oscar". It's from 1991, very classic. Then again, any movie with that all-star cast is well worth seeing. Watched it again about a month ago and it keeps getting better each time!

Tim Curry is also in Oscar, and between him and Sylvester Stallone, the movie is absolutely fabulous.

(Tim Curry also does the voice of Gabriel Knight in Gabriel Knight I and III, although if you don't look at the credits you'd never know it, he pulls off Southern just as well as English and New England in his other roles. That man has some serious talent!)
LMAO I loved Oscar... That movie was hilarious...

Actually that's not how Stephen King wrote it. SK wrote it with them all disappearing off into the unknown. It was actually Frank Darabont who changed the ending, and it impressed Stephen King so it was kept.

I personally liked it, even though I kept saying to myself "This sucks!", more referring to the situation.

Well it was right up King's alley, so you can understand my misconception of who came up with it...

My reaction was one of those laughs you do when something is just so Fvcked Up that you can't help but laugh because you can't think of any other reaction... It's not that I found it funny...

I watched a movie last night that was a very good movie... It's a couple years old, from 2004, but it was the first time I had seen it...

Taking Lives, stars Angelina Jolie, Ethan Hawke, among others that I'm sure people would know... It's about a killer who takes on the identity of his victims... Very good movie, very nice twist... I suspected it, but then dropped it and then I ended up right... Very good movie, I recommend it...

I'm about to sit down and watch The Good, the Bad & the Ugly.

My thoughts about it? I LOVE this film!!

-Fred
Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
I think the song at the end of The Mist made it more unsettling.

Never was The Good, The Bad and the Ugly from start to finish.

Only saw the last 20 mins.

I do like Ennio Merricone's The Ecstasy of Gold though. =P

Of course, I think every Metallica fan does.
