The last film you´ve seen and your thoughts about it
I saw Rosemary's Baby at a Midnight Show last night. Although I read the book way back in '68 when the movie came out, but I didn't go see the movie until now.
The movie was pretty good, but I gotta say, the book was better. I remember that it was one of the few books that I started reading and didn't stop until I finished it, all in one sitting. It was a real page-turner!

Spoiler Post, conversation with DrPaul about the ending to a movie... If you haven't seen The Wrestler, just skip this post...
I just remember seeing the girl he wanted finally coming to him and he pretty much rejected her to go in the Ring one more time... And because we didn't actually see him die in the ring, that is where my confusion comes in... Did he die doing what he loved??? Or did he survive to go do what he wanted???
I guess I'm one of those types of people who don't like those kinds of endings where it is up to the viewer to picture the outcome... I watch a movie to be Entertained with an Opening, A Middle, and A Closing... Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie, but when he jumped off the top rope and then the credits rolled, that pissed me off... lol I mean we didn't even hear him land, so the third possibility is that he just floated away...
I guess you can look at it like that... I didn't though... lolDrPaul wrote:You can think of it like he lived in two different worlds. In one he was king and adored by his the people in that world. In the other, he was a worthless loser, hated even by his own daughter. He had come to the point where he really couldn't live in the former world anymore because he was too old and feeble for it. But he could die there with dignity, doing what he loved and surrounded by those who love him. What better ending could any man ask?

I hated the movie rosemary's baby. This might have something to do with the fact that I saw on the same day as Requiem for a Dream. Maybe not.
It was just a terrible movie to me. I can see how it would make a good book. I remember seeing the exorcist and loving that movie. Then I read the book. If you want a book that was just all around disturbing, read it. Far far superior to the movie. And the movie in itself was amazing. The book is one of the only books that actually managed to scare me.
Saw my super-ex girlfriend.
This was an alright movie. Got a few laughs. Not the absolute best movie I have seen but none the less entertaining.
Shark part and the part where she took all his clothes were the best parts.
Great to see if you have nothing better.

But you're right. The film doesn't explicitly indicate that.
But no matter how it finally ended, you would probably agree that it was a fantastic film, right up to the last moment.

My impression (which, of course, may be wrong) was that he had his fatal heart attack while still in the air during that last jump. What a way to go!And because we didn't actually see him die in the ring, that is where my confusion comes in... Did he die doing what he loved??? Or did he survive to go do what he wanted???

Oh yeah I agree it was a great film otherwise... I was just very displeased with that ending... Even just another 20 seconds to explain one way or another and I'd be happy... lol

Just saw Leon/The Professional
This movie was spectacular.
The absolute most character development I have ever seen in an action movie. Also, the action was top notch even though it was only kept the the beginning and ending of the film.
Sad ending.... too.
Spectacular is the only word I can use to describe it.

Year One... I do like Jack Black, but I just didn't find this movie funny... Maybe I was in a sour mood or something, but this movie just didn't appeal to me at all...
Unlawful Entry... It's been awhile since I saw this, so for a little while into the movie it was almost like watching a new movie... Pretty good movie... I sure have known some cops who I think could be like that...

Yea, it was my first time seeing it. I was only 12 when it came out. I didn't know about it back then.
Your not the only person who didn't like Year One.
I haven't seen it, but it is the general consensus from everyone I know who has seen it.
Hehe, Unlawful Entry. They weren't thinking when they titled that movie

I watched the New 2009 Children Of The Corn last night... It's basically a remake of the Original, but the 2 adults they change to an Interracial couple who do nothing but argue... It was quite the disappointment... Not only did I not like what they did with the Adult Characters, the kids they used really need some acting lessens... Both the 2 main kids, Issac and Malachai, were horrible... Sometimes it felt like I was watching an Elementary school play or something...
If you're in the mood for Children Of The Corn, just stick with Linda Hamilton's one from the 80s...
