The last film you´ve seen and your thoughts about it
I just watched Inglorious Bastards, and that movie is fucked up. It's a genuinely suspenseful alternate history war movie, though don't expect the characters to be anything but two dimensional. Also, Mike Myers cameos.

It's not really a Movie, but the season is drawing to an end, only 2 episodes left... TrueBlood has been Off The Hook this Season... Just an awesome show... It comes on HBO, new episodes premier on Sundays at 9pm EST and plays throughout the week at various times... I know not everyone has HBO... Sadly you aren't able to view TrueBlood online... The First Season is out on DVD though...
A short breakdown... Simply TrueBlood is mostly about Vampires, but it doesn't stop there... So far in the first 2 Seasons, there have been Vampires, Telepaths, Shape Shifters, and Demons... They've mentioned Werewolves, but haven't shown any so far... I'm thinking that will be the big deal for Season 3, but there is in no way any evidence to support my hunch, yet...
Basically TrueBlood is a synthetic blood that was developed, so now Vampires no longer need to feed on Humans, so they have gone public with their existence... Of course people fear the unknown and new thing... So there are people who are haters and want war to destroy them all, then there are Fang-Bangers, people who absolutely love the Vampires, and then there are those who just don't care and just want to stay out of it, but get caught in the middle...
Very Awesome Show... It ain't Twilight for anyone thinking that...
Anyone else watch it by any chance???

Somehow I think the Mike Myers cameo was a bit of a favor thing. I just finished watching Bastards as well, and I thought it was one of his best. But his fingerprints are as similiar with WW2 as a Royale with cheese's. Over the top violence, strong and often hilarious dialogue, skilled cinematography and great music. There was a thing or two I thought a bit much, but I liked it, and his style. So if you appreciate his work as a whole, this shouldn't dissapoint you. I found it kicked ass.
Can't believe I am posting this on here but, I saw a made for tv movie last weekend called daughter's conviction.... wife put it on cause there was nothing else to watch.
Simple who done it story with a slight twist..... but terrible terrible acting.
Don't bother for the most part..... find something else on tv if you can.

I just saw pulp fiction for the first time.... yea I know.
Good film. Some people are going to hate me for this....
Even though I thought it was good.... I don't understand why it is in the top 5 for the best film of all time on imdb.
Yes, its hilarious and different. Yes it is violent and has all that good stuff.
I just think there are other films that I enjoyed more.
I guess it is just personal taste..
Don't get me wrong... I thought it was an excellent film, just not the 5th best movie of all time.
Anyway... favorite part.
Jules "Wash your hands! .... HEY WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING??!!"
Vincent "What?? This sh*t is hard to get out!!!"
Jules... "Hey, I used the same damn soap as you and my towel doesn't look like a bloody maxy pad!!!"

You're 15 years late to the party. Imagine seeing that for the first time in 1994. Imagine your reaction THEN.
That's why it's on the list.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
The wife and I saw Julie & Julia yesterday and if you are into cooking or like Julia Child I highly recommend this movie. Absolutely delightful, deliciously entertaining and superbly acted, it is THE feel good movie of the year. Meryl Streep should be nominated for best actress for her portrayal as Julia Child. 4 ****
As a side note, we were shopping at Costco today and passed by their book selections. They had copies of Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking and were almost sold out, all as a result of this wonderful movie.

"If you look to me for illumination, you better have a flashlight!"
I guess I can understand what you are saying Fred.
Although.... IMDB has not been out for that long.
Also.... I was a little too young to see that movie back then. I was only 12 =P
Still a great movie though and funny as hell.
Saw twilight. Wife wanted to see it.
This was an okay movie.
Definitely a chick flick. I hadn't read the book, so I wasn't disappointed by thinking it was better.
Personally, I like Anne Rice better, but it was still decent. Although, I still don't get the hype and why everyone is crazy about it.
It's not a movie for everyone... that's for sure.
Would have been nice to see it as a more mature movie.

Love can be bought, I'm here to tell you. The last movie I saw.... The BluRay Edition of Watchmen on my brand new 55 inch LCD Widescreen HDTV.
Oh my God...it's incredible. Granted its a bit wierd to be pausing with a Playstation 3 controller, but the detail, all the little things I knew I was missing, all right there in amazing crispness six feet away, and gorgeous. It took me probably an additional hour to watch it due to all my pausing to catch everything.
So yeah, it's two, almost three in the morning. But dang, just can't seem to turn it off...
Random Pulp fiction quote, which I hear in my head everytime I see our newest member...
Zed's dead baby, Zed'd dead.

The series was better, at least then they got naked occasionally... lol
Seriously I can't understand how the series lasted so long and on top of that they thought it was good enough to make a movie... Not to mention there is going to be a Sequel, to be released next year...

I watched Gamer. Very violent with lots of random topless chicks and a spinning camera that looks like it was stolen from Crank. I liked the movie in general, disliked the ending. The ending seemed thrown together in comparison to the rest of the movie.
The more disturbing aspect of the movie comes in not through the obvious argument, is killing people in a game environment murder, but rather through a separate game called Society. In Society people control other people and wander around with a manner that can be compared closely to Second Life over other things. Random people in Society can be seen talking, playing games, groping themselves, groping others, so and so forth. The disturbing part comes in through the blonde chick that's being controlled by a guy. When she's flirting with another guy the film cuts between him saying the line and then her saying the line just after.
Definitely more interesting then Death Race, which tried to do nothing more than a revenge story.
