Vote for your top three new locations on Chandler Ave

A lot of people are picking Jazz club.

Have you all forgotten about the Fuchsia Flamingo!? lol

Booyah!

I voted for Indie's Haphazard Fedora Repair Shop (mainly because I'm the one who came up with the joke). The Rival P.I., and The Shady Casino. Again, seeing Sal run a gambling operation, that would be awesome in my mind! And seeing a young P.I. competing with Tex would be an excellent way to pass the torch to a new Adventure Game, and let Tex get some rest... and maybe pop in, kind of like The Colonial in UAKM.

seeing a young P.I.
yeah, played by his son

Will the Flamingo still be there, though? The Brew and Stew is the kind of joint that stays opened forever, but very few clubs turn into institutions. 14-ish years (assuming the story will have a similar gap) is a long time to survive.

Personally I would rather it be like the end of the last Indiana Jones film and he takes the fedora back. When I saw Indie's son was in the latest film I was just waiting for the cliche of his son taking over, so I was pleasantly surprised when they double-backed on that at the last moment. Indiana Jones apparently "stole" somethings from Tex, might aswell steal that. They said they would love to continue the series with more games or "episodes" featuring Tex so I think the character won't be put to rest. There could always be "spinoffs" someday to get more mileage out of the world, which I enjoy for the dystopian angle and the other interesting characters. But I think I'd like the main series to stick with Tex, for me he really defines a lot of what is entertaining about the games.

Sai, I'm looking for the opposite... the one, last, grand, epic Tex quest! One that makes your balls shutter, and your spine turn to liquid, and makes you go: damn, that was the last great adventure. Now marry Chelsea, and turn the hat over to someone else. I want to see Tex finally have his cake and eat it too, you know?

Could Tex really retire though? He comes off a soft and less melo Bruce Wayne. Someone who couldn't sit back and enjoy life while the world gets dirtier all around him, no matter how many times the world actually kicked him in the balls.

Which means... two playable characters. Muhahahahaha!!!!! Young P.I., and Tex. Broadening the story, and making for a better playable experience.

Has everyone forgotten that Tex died at the end of Overseer? He's being brought back from the dead to take on a mission assigned to him by some higher powers (James Earl Jones is a higher power, wouldn't you agree?). I don't think an ordinary life (marriage, kids, house, etc.) is in the cards for him.

Sai I liked that part too. I kept thinking how dare he take Indie's hat. I'd snatch it back and thunk him on the head. I enjoyed the snatching of the hat. It was probably the best part out of a very very bad movie.

No Tex Jr. for me. I'll play Tex until he gets killed permanently in a fiery explosion because he definitely won't die in his sleep. After that I'm done.
