"Tex Murphy - Project Fedora" is now live on Kickstarter.
I think there is no video involved, you sit on your end and type in a question and they sit on their end and type in an answer...redcat72 wrote:I had no idea what AMA meant either.Apparently it is "Ask Me Anything." Yes, it would be nice for the guys to do a live chat soon, and make sure it works technically.
And come on dollars - let's get these numbers moving again today!!
Someone correct me if I am wrong...
And another message sent...
I wonder if I'll be able to go back to idling after this KS is over... I don't recall ever being this active on boards and comments...
But I guess 14 years of waiting and a chance for getting answers popped a fuse in my head... makes me wish I took facebook and twitter more seriously and added a gazillion friends...

Yeah, no kidding. Even though I registered in 2007 I think I only had 3 posts on this board until this past March. Closing in on 300 now! That Kickstarter page has become my new best friend, LOL. My husband knows to give me an update on the total every morning when I wake up. (He usually wakes up before me.) Not to mention I check it right before my head hits the pillow.sbenrap wrote:And another message sent...

In my layman's understanding of it: Reddit is basically a site where people share news/articles/stuff and then people can comment on those header articles or "upvote" them to be more popular. Also people can reply to others comments as threaded discussions down the page.redcat72 wrote:Nice. So, as a Reddit newbie. How does that whole Reddit thing work?
When they do an "AMA" Question and Answer session, instead of an article, the developer adds a little blurb at the top and then people can "Comment" on it to add their question. Then the developer simply responds to their comment/question. People can ask whatever they like about the upcoming game, past games or just generally comment.
Hopefully as they're familiar with Reddit they will do it "official" so that the QandA session is blasted to all of Reddit in the "Upcoming AMAs".
here are the ones for Leisure Suit Larry and Jane Jensen:

Oh it also looks like they have to post proof that its really them too. Jane Jensen did a tweet and Al Lowe held up a paper:

After a slow start, the contributions have picked up again today... already they are at almost $7,000 since midnight eastern. That leaves only about $2,000 more to hit the "safety" level for the day and there is still 6.5 hours until midnight comes around again. Here's hoping for the 8th successful day of this campaign!
