All efforts, prayers, incantations, seances, etc. are appreciated. j/k

Just keep the faith and we will have a new game - someday, even if we have to finance it ourselves.

I'm sure if we managed to get everyone that could possibly contribute to do so, that we could get decently far into the production of the game, to at least show the Power Wanna Bes that the game deserves their attention as well...

Wow, getting $12,000,000 through $3000 donations? Wishful thinking at best.

That said, I want to help. But not with $3000. I think I'd rather put $12000 (my savings to buy a new car!) on the table to get somewhere.

I have two conditions, though:

1) The idea of 'contributing' doesn't really work at this scale. I don't want to be a contributor: I want to be an investor.
2) For me it would be more interesting to create a port/update of "The Pandora Directive" to the Wii. It would be much cheaper, and a more realistic goal. The question is: Would it work commercially in the US? The game is a masterpiece, but still...

The real obstacle, though, is getting the rights back from Microsoft. Because they don't need the money, you know.

They aren't going to make Tex for the Wii or any other console.

Wishful thinking has gotten mankind far beyond many horizons. Ever read a book? Ever been inspired by it? Ever seen things you'd never have imagined by yourself told to you by a skillful artist?

That's wishful thinking for you. Never underestimate it. It's powerful.

But it's also an illusion.

Microsoft don't have the rights to the Tex character anymore, Aaron got those back. I think they were then passed on to another company but I haven't heard of any issues so most likely Aaron still has the rights on the character etc. in some way.

Hm really...? I could of sworn I heard Aaron say that Xbox etc. were an option. I mean they were even considering adding (for a certain portion of the game) a gun/shooting game/aspect to make it overall more marketable for the FPS generation etc. (without losing the original character so I assume he'd soon re-lose his gun) so I think they're open to anything.
Just that Wii/Xbox/other consoles are a whole different area when it comes to development and so may not be viable in terms of resources... I don't know. But I thought in the past consoles were discussed?
Or I could be wrong I've been out the loop for awhile.

I don't have an Xbox or a Wii (just a PS3) so I can't say I'd want the game to solely released on either of those though :p Whereas almost everyone has a PC.
