What does this mean for future of Tex ?

Absolutely Gutted!

I would be well up for helping out. I'm quite handy with Cubase Reason and ProTools, and I could help with the music.

In fact, why don't we assess what each of us can potentially contribute to a new Tex Murphy game and forward the data to Aaron. I'm sure if he's feeling down on his luck, that'll remind him that there's a community (or Army!) ready and poised to do whatever we can to get Tex Murphy back on our computer screens (Preferably with an OSX port. hehe!)

Oh man, this sucks. We need to hear from Aaron and see what hes doing.

I just saw the news today in this article:

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=16479

I'm curious as to who now owns the rights to Tex. Here's a quote at the end of that article:
and whilst Take-Two retains the rights to the Amped, Top Spin and Links, there has been no confirmation to date on development of any future titles in either of the franchises.
It doesn't mention Tex so I don't want to assume that Take-Two owns the rights to the franchise although there is some logic that they may.

I think after Microsoft *finally* (after years of sitting on it) let the Tex Murphy name go, Aaron had the rights again. Since there's not been anything solid yet regarding a new game project/venture I assume no rights had to be relinquished yet to anyone else. So unless someone says otherwise, it should be safe to say, he owns Tex Murphy.
