New video update from Big Finish

if your question referred to downloading the demo to see if it works on your system, the answer would be "yes" you will be able to download your updated driver/direct x for the game to run. you will be ready for when the game is available. the download is 2gb on gog & steam 2.5 as it contains the new trailer. The full game should be about 15gb....lol

Thanks for the reply cub.

With the case of overseer I get that their target was an emerging technology, that being DVD which at the time very few people had, plus the intel bias also didn't help things. Also I get where you are coming from with the whole it's up to the user to ensure their drivers and hardware meet minimum requirements. However there have actually been cases where updating firmware can actually be rather risky.. For example, I bought fable 2 once on Xbox 360, I decided to update my firmware because it was recommended by the hardware manufacturer that we all update.. Unfortunately on the developers end, they did a terrible as fork job QAing... This meant my $90 purchase was now a coaster as the game has ever since been incompatible with Xbox360 updates. They waived the issue as it only effected 11% of users. So I'm kinda butthurt over devs doing this, because to me it's a sign of a poorly run qa team. Need I remind you how long I've been testing games for.

You're correct in saying that past this point the green screen bug will no longer be an issue. Because naturally more people would be running more up to date drivers. However for a lot of people they don't update their drivers instead opting for pre-packaged drivers that you see with companies like dell or toshiba. And those people are more common than us enthusiasts who know what we're doing and keep a clean machine.

I bring up these issues because I don't want to see you guys fail cub. I invested $277 into this game, my faith was always in the talents of you guys. I just wish you'd involved us a bit more. That's why I've voiced my concerns. I hope you have better luck than möbius. We've taken a big beating in the kickstarter front this year so I hope you guys buck the trend so far. Again I did really enjoy the gameplay and story of the beta.. But the Ingame art felt a bit sloppy... Not that it can't be fixed, it's all very easy stuff to fix, I made recommendations in my bug reports.

I want to stress I don't mean to insult anyone here. It's just we need to be really really careful with casual gamers. They can get very jaded and restless easily, which can in turn hit sales. I've seen this in prActice numerous times during my career, I've learned what to do and what not to do. Cub rest assured you're doing the right thing by corresponding with me.

I hope your post release support is up to the task of the coming two weeks. Best of luck with the launch.

Please note though I will be judging BFGs QA team very harshly as I'm an authority on the matter. I hope you take the advice as what it is, advice.
