Yeah I was looking for something to submit to online mags like this Shadowun fan's submission which makes a nice point of what the series is about and what makes it worth backing:

Great article, very well written Cubase.

Makes a good case as to why the FMV aspect shouldn't be looked down upon. Could definitely pass the link around. Do you plan to write something after the Kickstarter is live? Maybe something that expands on discussing the further appeal of the games.
I noticed a small typo if you don't mind me saying: "while most other games were still
graping the concept of 3D graphics "

Well now I'm having regrets-- If I got a small ad, I could've afforded another small ad in another paper. I was in a hurry because the U of U deadline was so soon. Holy moley-- 3.6 in. by 10 in. is actually
plenty big when you print it out! Live and learn I guess.
Still, I do think that print ads, signs, handbills, etc. will be needed.
· Look at the websites of newspapers around you, both college and local (most colleges will end the schoolyear soon). Find out what ad sizes you can get for the money. Don't make my mistake and fail to consider other papers in your $ plans.
· Suggest Tex Murphy as an article idea. It wouldn't hurt to try.
· Good old fashioned posters! But don't post where it's not allowed.
· Are there any local game stores where you can leave some small paper handouts with permission?
I can't afford many more ads or else I'll have nothing leftover for the Kickstarter itself. But I'll be beating the bushes.

Feel free to use the flyers or poster I created in the graphics thread (request / do a test print first though as I've learnt in the past printers are finicky). I know Bafitis mentioned they've gained permission to put up flyers at their local game store after the campaign is live which is great. I'll be adding a version with the live link whenever its up.
Flyers and business cards:

Those are all so cool!

And it's awesome that Bafitis has already looked into posting things.
But if printed in B/W photocopied, their beauty will be ruined.

That might be a problem if someone wants to make tons of them on the cheap. I'll try modifying my ad in case someone needs something printed in Crap Edition.
Also, a few minutes ago the newspaper accepted my ad graphic. The deed is done and there's no going back. Phew.

Oh my. Big Finish Games
got a pic of my ad and posted on the Facebook page. I don't live in Utah so I thought I'd have to take the paper's word for it!
I'm so happy it's appreciated. Worth every cent.
I might do one more, smaller ad in May. Not sure where, though.

Well done with the ad Joilet - let's hope that it brings awareness of the project to the forefront. I saw the ad on Facebook, reposted by Big Finish Games. Very cool!

That's awesome that a newspaper reader actually sent them the photo. Shows it got some peoples attention. It looks fantastic seeing it on paper there. Congrats!

Very neat add, rather impossible to miss if you know Tex Murphy. That's specifically the people we want right now, those who remember the name, even if vaguely.
Don't regret the size. Yes it is plenty big, but the layout is perfect for a sure hit.
I will see what can be arranged in Montreal. The timing isn't too great for ads and posters, with the student strike already filling up every inch of public space, but we'll see.

Agree, great job on the Ad!

It looked awesome, and definitely got peoples attention. I wonder if Big Finish plans on taking out a small Facebook ad? My company does that on occasion, and we always get more "likes" after advertising. You can limit how much you want to spend each day, and really narrow down your target demographic. I'll have to check if an individual can just post an Ad, or if you need to have a "Page."

These are the countries I was going to target. I am limited to 25, but if I'm missing an important one (or I have a pointless one) let me know.
USA, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Canada, UK, Poland, Ireland, Greece, Czech Repub., Russia, Switzerland, Hungary, Ukraine, Brazil.
Also, I was thinking of running this ad on Facebook May 11th - June 11th. (The weekend before the Kickstarter campaign.)
