Ah thanks for the info Hammerhead.

Second random question...what is the make and model of Tex's speeder?
If you're wondering what the actual realworld equivalent is, its the Lotus Esprit early 90s model.

(it's also my dream car!).

A close second is the Delorian, but I'm 100% positive its the Esprit because the Delorian was never actually labeled under the Lotus badge. What is odd is that the doors on Tex's esprit open more similarly to the new Esprit (or rather at the time the Lamborghini that was availible in the 90s) which would be my 3rd choice. They're all very similar cars in shape.

In UAKM, Tex's voiceover (when "Look"ing at the speeder) refers to it as a Lotus Lightningbolt.
Really a lightning bolt? Spooky just like Harry Potter's broom. I never knew that! Thanks for the info James.

I think there was a version of Lotus speeder that Tex was using but I can't remember. I recall other types of speeder being named in TPD as the black car that picked Tex up and later dumped him was a different type of speeder.

The Black Speeder that the NSA were always using were described as Black Avatar Speeders... I don't recall any other descriptions given for them...

And James is right, I remember Tex saying that his car was a Lightning Bolt, and as already stated, Tex is pretty upset that he didn't get the Sunroof...

I'm curious, does no one else on Chandler Avenue own a Speeder??? You never see anyone else parked anywhere... Does everyone but Tex take a Cab??? Just thought it would be interesting to see some Speeders parked at the end of the street down by Louie's... The area is big enough to be considered a parking lot, but there is never anyone parked there either... Oh well...

To be more accurate....it's referred to as his "trusty 31 Lightning Bolt Speeder.....I still regret not getting the sunroof option..."

Mac Malden...he's a Lieutenant in the San Fransisco Police Department. What is his function? Homicide? Street?

Oh, and is his precinct located in New San Fransisco or Old San Fransisco? I forgot that one.

Pretty sure that the precinct is located in New San Francisco...

As for Malden, I'm pretty sure that he is in Robbery/Robbery Homicide, since he was on the case of the Pawn Shop Robberies and then was on the case of the Black Arrow Killer when he and Tex were Rollerblading on the roof and his wheel locked up...

But if it is spelled out more clearly somewhere else I'd be happy to know his exact title as well...

Another random question:

The Fuchsia Flamingo, did it close down after the events of The Pandora Directive? Or is it still open? I don't remember if that's explicitly stated anywhere.

Unknown, but I bet Tex's tab is self-paying if it is.

Well I'm just going to make up a theory but I wonder if Tex's speeder is something left over from his time in New Sanfrancisco with other "Norms". Where it seems the streets are denser and crowded with high-rises, making it tougher to traverse without a flying car. Whereas Old Sanfrancisco is very rundown and derelict possibly meaning more open spaces and less high rises. Mutants and Norms were said to live separately, and it's mostly Mutants on Chandler Avenue. If they tend to stick locally they might not really need speeders as much to get around the sparse Old Sanfrancisco compared to the hustle and bustle of New Sanfrancisco life.

Another theory could be if most Speeders are built and made in New Sanfrancisco due to costs of parts / manufacturing and if to get one you need good standing. But Mutants are looked down upon by New Sanfrancisco residents. Though after the big "purity group" fell in UAKM this is stated to of diminished a bit. It might be however that license laws for speeders still hasn't dropped discrimination against Mutants yet. Or it could just be a budget thing if most Mutants can't afford New Sanfrancisco prices/economy compared to Old Sanfrancisco economy. Tex is usually pretty broke but he's had some nice cases here and there. Plus he used to live and work in New Sanfrancisco and gets clients from there still (assuming it has a different economy that might of meant a different income to most Mutants). So it might of gotten him enough to budget a Speeder.

It's been awhile since I played Pandora Directive, I don't remember, did it hint it'd be shut down? In the pitch video its neon sign is lit up pretty brightly on the newly rendered Chandler Avenue.
