I just finished JULIA. I have one caution for anyone wanting to play. There are some very difficult puzzles (and some not so difficult ones too). Some could take a long time to solve (as in days).

I decided to cheat and use a walkthrough for a few of the really laborious ones. I didn't use it to completely solved them; only to give me a hint now and then. Still, it would be hard to do them completely on my own.

I have one hint: take notes. Keep track of where you are, who is there, what happened there. There are a number of locations and there are relationships between them. They're all parts of an overall story. Some of the puzzles involve you having to recall specific events and their sequences.

OK, I don't think that spoils anything. I think it just gives you a chance to prepare yourself. Let me know if it helps.
Thanks, Chandler! I always take notes.
Truly yours,
Alexander.

For a game developed on a very low budget by only two guys, JULIA is remarkably good even if old fashioned. I don't mind 2D old style games as long as they have a good story. If you purchased the GOG game there is a bonus game, JULIA Untold, which consists entirely of building circuits from blueprints and is pretty hard.

Kathy Rain, a detective story I recently played, is deliberately retro in style, set in the 1990s. It's fairly amusing though no great shakes. It's cheaper to buy on Steam, but is available on GOG.
Hmmm, I bought the GoG version, but I don't seem to have any bonus game.

Just checked. It seems Untold is on Steam rather than GoG.
When you first launch JULIA, before you select the HD version you prefer. JULIA Untold is down the bottom next to hints.
Thanks. I found it. I've only done 4 of them. They were too easy. I'm sure that will change
