Congrats James and Sara

I know it's been on Facebook but we can't keep it off the pages that James created -

HUGE congratulations to you both on the birth of your son. Wishing you both start sleeping through the night... sometime soon.

:P

Wonderful and exciting news. Congratulations!
Indeed! Congrats to you and your wife James. You have now joined the ranks of the perpetually sleep-deprived :(
I echo the above sentiment to you as well. I know of people who said their kids slep well after 6 months and such. I wondered if the kid actually did or if the parents were simply exhausted and unintentionally tuned out the middle of the night cries. Everyone is different, of course, so I do hope your child learns to sleep through soon.

Mine, however, didn't sleep through the night until well after the first year. My husband and I looked like little trolls for a while there, LOL!

I'm sorry for you silvermitt. A year is indeed a long time for a baby to start sleeping through the night. Ours did it within a few weeks.

You must have been very bad in a past life :P

Ah, well...Sodom and Gemorah was a fabulous time you know...

Seriously, my kids had alot of inner ear issues. Both ended having tubes put in their ears and tonsils removed. I chalk the lack of sleep up to them being uncomfortable/in pain and unable to communicate it (while I pulled out my hair and tried to get a doctor to actually fix the issue).

I also didn't use formula until I absolutely had to, about when my children were around 10 months of age. I think stress may have dried up the fountain.

Thanks everyone! :) We're so happy to welcome this little guy into our lives!

Be careful about tubes. My daughter had about 4 sets of them and her hearing is now somewhat impaired because of them. She's not deaf or anything, but she notices, and has been told by doctors, that there is permanent damage to her eardrums.

All's well. :)

Tubes fell out long ago. Numerous doctor visits show both hear fine. Nope, the only hearing problems we have is routinely called "selective hearing". Seems to effect kids and adults. LOL!

Good to hear. I think it's because my daughter had so many sets that she sustained some damage.
Great news and heartfelt congratulations to both of you :)
