Aaron, can I up the shipping speed?!

Because I don't own a kindle and am on pins and needles to get my hardcopy!!!!!

Silvermitt, you don't need a kindle. You can download the Kindle App to read ebooks. It's available for Apple and Android.

You could be reading it now.

Silvermitt, use the Contact button on the website and send a message. We can change the shipping option for you.

Thanks!
I'm old school, so I just ordered the paperback from AC's site. I can't wait till it gets here. It'll be too late for my beach trip, but will be something nice to come home to.

It's long been available for Windows too. You can get it for XP thru to Win8.
Oh yeah I forgot. I've got it on my PCs too. Usually read hard copies or on my actual Kindle at home.

Can't remember the last time I picked up a hardcopy book, or even a magazine for that matter. Haven't read newspapers since 1970.
I'm convinced that I will be the last person in America still reading a newspaper.
jason,

even tex will ask you " does anybody read newspapers anymore"

tex murphy is back in town
Much like Tex, I am a man out of time. :)

No, dcat151, you and I will be.

Chandler, if the lights go out for any length of time, I'm still reading my hardcovers (or Tex paperbacks!) by candle or flashlight. Not sure how your stuff holds out for extended time... but books are forever to me.

No, Samantha, I can't read the online stuff because my MAC isn't updated to do it. Hell, I can't even see my county's assessors site because I don't have the newest, baddest, flash installed. And I can't install it because my mac is running on 10.6 ala 2000 mode.

Due to circumstances that would bore most of you to sleep, I don't have advance computers and can't get them anytime soon. Playing catchup for the last 5 years isn't going away overnight and I'm too damned frugal to throw it away on hardware when I could be relieving myself of debt first. But Aaron, I'm going to contact you about shipping AND pre-orders (when it's available).

I'm just not like you all and love the technology. I'm aware it's here but some of us, apparently few it seems, either just can't afford it or don't want to deal with it. Sadly, I am in the middle of these two camps. There, I said it. I'm an old fart and I love incandescent light bulbs too!

I can understand not having the latest and greatest computer and OS. It's hard to keep up. I used to cling onto to old machines for the longest time too. I loved and named everyone of them.

However I cannot understand clinging onto incandescent light bulbs. The horror!

silvermitt, I'm an old fart too; I suspect quite a bit older and fart-ier ;) but I have been involved with tech since the early 60s, so I do keep up with advancements.

As far as my Kindle goes, it uses extremely little power and doesn't lose anything when it's turned off. In fact it only uses power to download new content and to turn pages. It will run for weeks and weeks without a recharge.

I'm gradually switching all my lighting over to LED. The new LED lighting is fantastic, even better than incandescent. The LEDs produce a more even light and have a warmer glow (but without producing any significant heat) than the old bulbs. At this point in my life, I'm expecting I won't ever have to change the LED lights I'm installing -- I'll be pushing up daisies by the time they burn out. :)
