I'm undecided on Tesla Effect

I'm surprised you don't, at the very least, agree about the puzzles.
Keep playing. I don't think the puzzles are quite Pandora quality, but they're plenty diverse. A lot of them are pretty much classic logic problems and such, but for me these were always just sort of side-shows for the main game which was all the inventory puzzles anyway.

I wasn't a big fan of some of the puzzles either--a few of them made absolutely no sense unless you clicked the help button, at which point Tex becomes an omniscient super-genius.
Well they were always like this, but before he would just say it automatically, rather than having to click a help function.

Where he does seem omniscient is in the item descriptions. Like he looks at a key and knows it's for an armoire somehow. Or that the planks can be used to fix the ladder he may not have seen yet.
I loved this return to Chandler Avenue and think it was a great overall experience.

With that said, I agree that it was kind of easy. I totally agree that some adventure games took puzzles too far, but this was too much of a reactionary response if that was their motivation. Maybe this is what they needed to do to bring in more casual gamers and sell more copies so that they could build a wider fanbase to get #2 rolling?
I agree that the game had a pretty casual feel. I however, feel that this casual feel serves as a combination of the different styles between UAKM and Pandora. It kind of feels on the middle of that scale, with the branching paths, but with the Tesla conspiracy being fairly on the small scale.

I deduce that since a certain scoundrel makes it out alive at the end, that we haven't seen the last of this story. TLS was a fairly contained conspiracy, much like the moon-cult in UAKM. I have a pretty big hunch that the next game is going to push out that conspiracy a bit more. Hopefully to the federal, or international level. I NEED MY NSA!

I hope this game generates enough funds for another. This game serves as a new beginning for our gumshoe. I want it to continue as long as it possibly can.
