Download or boxed version??

Hi! Does anyone know which way the game will be sold, box or download? I am willing to pay more for a boxed version. I really enjoy just looking at and reading the info on the boxes. I have gotten to the point of just playing through the puzzles of mainly Pandora, I've played it so many times, but I will never get tired of this, or any Tex game. I like avoiding the droids in Overseer and doing the wall puzzle. UAKM doesn't have any really difficult puzzles, but I still really love the sax solos as the days change and James E. Jones' voiced parts. I am so anxious to play this game, that I've gotten into re-watching the trailer/teasers over and over. Please tell me there will be a boxed version of this game, and they won't make us wait until this time next year to play the game.
Well, if you backed the project at $100 or more, you get a boxed version, but whether that will be sold to the public hasn't been said to my knowledge. We do know it will be available for download on Steam and likely other sources (maybe GOG).

As for the release, they've been promising Q1 2014 for some time now, so I doubt we'll have to wait a year. I'm guessing January or February.
I think it will be more like february, something to do with other game releases that the publisher wanted the game to came out at the right time.

I think Big Finish would like there to be a boxed retail version, but it's not really up to them. Atlus is publishing now and I notice that they avoided mentioning any kind of retail release so I'd say it doesn't really look like it right now, but if the game is very successful on the download market, you never know. Plenty of downloadable games have gotten retail releases after selling a lot on Steam.

Regardless of if there is or isn't a retail release, the physical copy given to Kickstarter backers is going to be different, I think.

The description on Kickstarter does refer to it as "exclusive", so you're probably right. I'm not sure a physical release would make sense. PC games don't get much shelf space at game stores and the predominant distribution method is download now. I have a feeling we probably won't ever see a retail release.
Thanks for all responses! I'll hold out hope for a boxed version anyway, especially since Tex games tend to be rather large. :D
I would put my money on it being download only - that's what the market is these days and aside from those who pledged high enough at the outset, it doesn't make financial sense to do something which costs more and which the mass market is moving away from.

The only exception being those who paid for a boxed version either during Kickstarter or at any time until they closed the pledges on Big Finish.

If you're lucky you might find they have a spare or two more than those ordered, but I think you'd have to be really lucky.
